Big thank you Alina!! 🙌This is great! 😊, I also do that first mistake a lot, seeing it here helps too, the second painting is fantastic, thanks again, really helpful 👍😊
It really was, can I just ask you: when you add the darkest darks on the green areas and the reflections, is it a mixed dark from several colours (ie. phatlo blue+burnt umber) or some almost black colour (like Payne’s grey or neutral tint) thanks again
@@ernes103 I used mostly Indigo mixed with other green and yellow colors to create the dark greens. For the warmer darks I probably used Indigo+burnt sienna. Indigo is really great for getting that dark value.
The light ochre / details came out well and i really like the brushmarks/shapes you achieved. The negative painting above was a great choice. Very effective. This looks much more like rough surface than cold press to me. Is it possible that there was an error in the description?
wow..I adore your paintings, your process etc..new subscriber here..I hope u continue to do more videos...I am very new at plein air and want to learn more..I would be so happy if I could paint like you ! for me its art therapy..can u do some real time videos ? I'd love to know your bio too..thanks so much!!
Thanks so much! I'm planning to do more real time videos in the future but I currently hit pause because of studying art full time...my bio is not very extensive, I mostly studied watercolor by myself online through workshops and TH-cam. I'm currently studying at an atelier in New York
Hi Alina, Thanx for sharing, Can you tell me what kind of material is the back support you using? Where can i buy it what is called, I love the idea of stapling the paper, that would allow me to do more practise as it would be easy to streach the paper!
I believe it's called corrugated plastic or coroplast. They sell it at construction stores like home Depot. Mine is actually is "garage sale" sign. I cut it in half and glued it together to make it more rigid.
@@alinatulliart812 Thank you Alina, I found it on ebay,( Fluted Corrx 8mm) but because of the ripples/undulation, do you get those ripples on the paper as well when it is wet and stapled to the plastic??
@@raffahotmail6944 I'm not sure what you mean by ripples, but it stays flat to the paper when wet. Even without the staples it stays flat. I use the staples if I want it to stay flat even after it has dried
Very nice video (and painting). Thank you! Ifind your commentary very helpful. Have a great day!
