I personally believe thru my own research and hearing of stories that Pacific life between Asia, Americas and all in between was vibrant and active, just as humans behave TODAY. The rise and fall of Pacific peoples' activity and knowledge could have cycled thru several times, with many waves of people coming thru, integrating with each other, just as they do TODAY (think: Indians in Fiji, Filipinos and Japanese in Hawaii). Historical narrative and common thinking is often too linear; yet life is all but linear. We don't live in straight lines and timelines - real life is messy and always with a 1000 simultaneously moving parts!
