    What about "masked man"?
    Do you pronounce it as "mask man" or do you make an effort to pronounced the /-ed/? /Maskt man/

    Most of those deletions or switches are due to regional accents or some are even just ethnic under learning.
    There's also words like ask.
    Like ax me a question.

    Hi Ryane, What happens with the sound of "We stood together"? I think the sound of "stood together" is like "stoo dogether" Did you know what I mean? Is this a different matter?

      Hi there! This is one of the best reference guides for teachers of pronunciation. I studied it during my master's program. www.amazon.com/Teaching-Pronunciation-Paperback-Audio-CDs/dp/0521729769

      I would not recommend this book for students :) I'm not sure if you're a teacher or a student. Good luck!

    May you explain when do I spell "d" while there's "t"?

  • @AlanlaCelestina
    @AlanlaCelestina 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm not sure I follow your explanation as to why T is pronounced in Integrate and not in say, Entering. A lot of Americans actually do pronounce it as "Innegrate"

    So, "find me", "fine me" and "fined me" sound the same???

    • @TeacherRyane
      @TeacherRyane  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Yes, "find me" and "fine me" can sound very very very close. This pronunciation will also be determined by what American accent you are listening to. You would need the context of the sentence to determine the difference.
      However! "Fined me" will sound different because this rule doesn't apply to past tense pronunciation. I have a whole video on this here: th-cam.com/video/XVcg7GKnK7A/w-d-xo.html

      @TeacherRyane  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no! You found my mistake. It is "elision." Good eye!
