Thanks, I aim for "harsh but fair." I try to present the game in such a way that the viewer can make their own conclusion, and give my opinions on top of that.
@@zigmenthotep Also, it does depend on the players. Simple can be a bad thing for advanced players, but great for starters. This doesn't seem like the type of game one would play extensively, but it might be a good way to get Harry Potter fans into RPGs.

I believe that this is a simple and quick system to teach players and start playing. Suitable for roleplaying stories and not mechanics. With all due respect to systems like Witchcraft and Wizardry and Broomstix but I don't want to read a phb of more than 100 pages...

Biggest problem of this system: there is no clear explanation for the spells. So, sure, you know what a spell with the description "hair-loss curse" will do, but for many spells it simply lacks of what exactly the spell does, what it is capable to do and what not and in wich way it affect the target exactly. Does something damage and, if so, how much? how will it effect different kinds of targets? How different will flipendo hurt my opponent in compare to the so called "blasting curse" confrigo?
flipendo is a hex and gives a -1 to one stat (gms choice), as well as a "knockback effect". Confrigo is a spell from a higher year and is "more powerful" (the spells power is at the gms discretion) will cause the target to be Injured (-1 to all stats) or unconscious and has an "explosion effect" which could be a way to get through a wall and make some noise, or kill a monster, or anything else that makes sense and serves the story the spell list in general is bad though as there are many spells that are too weak at high years and alot of 1st year spells that are taught in later years in the books and are overpowered (Finite Incantatem=dispell magic)
Here in 2023 I downloaded the full rules pdf. Before opening the file I scanned it with Windows defender and it came up with a threat. Sadly I will not risk my computer getting a virus. Looks likea good gamer.
Who else is just sitting here like “why bother with this when you can just do d&d all wizards in a school of magic and use the flying carpets stats on brooms?”

You wont get a virus a lot of times the "scanner" is wrong and fail to detect real problems.

Because the system it uses is 10 times better than the one in DnD.
