Try both and buy what's best for you. 'Better' is very subjective. If you want one bass, just get a 5. You can still play it like a 4 without using the added B string. Hope this helps.
The biggest downside to a fiver for experienced players, is the amount of time it takes to conquer old habits. This isn't an issue for beginners, so why not start out with 5?

Am I the only one having issues with the bridge?😰 I had a horrible time at rehearsal. Even playing along to videos in struggling. It seems like you were finding yourself off as well because you started noodling during the bridge. HELP!
