I’m about to be 47…from Detroit. I just learned about personal credit by way of trying to get business credit. It does not matter if you gross 400k annually. Your personal credit is more valuable than your expensive degree in college. You can literally drop out of junior high but have a 780 credit score and can be in a better position in life than doctors and lawyers with tuition credit card car loan and mortgage debt thru the ceiling. Get you Personal sht in order
Very true good credit will make life so much easier u save more money 💰 they take more from the poor and low credit people and the people w good credit pay nothinf
I found your channel like a week ago and I’ve watched several videos since then. Just got a Nav Fed membership, checking, savings, secure card and pledge loan. Thank for all of your helpful, clear advice and knowledge. I really appreciate you!!
Great video! A lot of people don't realize you don't just get a credit card for yourself, you get it for "your future self." You want a card which is going to grow- the extreme (in a good way) example of this is the NFCU nRewards card which can start at $200 and eventually become an $80,000 card (assuming product change to Flagship card at some point). And you never want to burden "your future self" by forcing them to make a choice a few years later (ie. "This card sucks! But it's my oldest card so I'll keep it open even though it has an annual fee and doesn't offer me anything unique in my portfolio of cards"). My rule is never have an annual fee unless that card offers something special which makes the fee pay for itself (ie. free year of Amazon Prime, airport lounges, airline fee, free flights, free hotel stays, etc).
I am. I took out a auto loan with navy fed for 5k and paid it back in a year but my credit score dropped like 50 something points. I tried to prequalify but navy fed only is letting me take out a secured card. You just answered my question I have had for a while. I do make pretty good money. I should probably give them the max of 5 grand? I also got accepted for a Capital One Savor One card but it had a $500 limit.
Hey @JustMoneyish this video is really helpful , but wanted to point out one thing actually . I think you mentioned about paying your credit bills on time to graduate right , well you have to pay your present secured credit card bill obviously and also any other credit lendor bill (like maybe if you have a loan or something that like , you need to make those payments as well on time) as to make decision if a user graduates from the secured journey or not, it is based on all his payment activity across all accounts which is reported to the credit bureau. So just paying secured card balance and not paying your loan monthly payment will not put you on track for graduation.
Hey, random question. I've been with Navy Federal for about a year now. I have the secured card at a $200 limit and at 6 months it did not graduate to unsecured. However, I watched one of your videos and I did the prequalification with them and got flagship with $10.8k. Have you ever seen this?
I’m brand new to everything! I’m trying a LLC soon because im a recently profitable day trader, can i add this Secured Discover it card on the LLC as a business expense card or no?

Im at 630.. my dad just added me 2 of his cards but im thinking bout adding a secured or credit builder acct with 25k..but im interested in obtaining 20k in business credit
I have Question if I Put $1000 in secure credit card Do i have to pay addition $1000 at the end of the month or the $1000 I put to Open the Secure Credit pays for that month .
@@930nyce2 The Self card isn't bad compared to many secured cards. 10 years ago- it would have been one of the best (almost every secured card back then had an annual fee). 2 years from now, if you use your credit right, you'll have top line cards from Chase, Amex, etc. and then you'll have the Self card which has a $25 and gives nothing in return.
@@Dapowerranger the higher the better, but if you can’t do anything big then the minimum limit is always fine…but just know that, that money is going to be locked in for a while
Bro I consider it a good thing that he stressed that it’s a secured card it makes sense if you think about it I mean he is teaching all the ends and out of this type of card.

Actually i put a 49 dollar security deposit down for a capital one secured card and got a 200 dollar limit.
I’m thinking about doing that. Did you get the $200 right away?
@TonyStarks1986 as soon as I got approved they gave me a 200 securred limit.

Can I use a secure credit card for a car rental security deposit?
Yes
Can we apply for both as new to credit cards without any credit history? Will it be a positive impact on credit store to manage both?
Your credit history profile is more important then your credit score 😏🤦🏼♀️💳💳💳💳💳💳
Closed my Self secured card today
mines is on the way.. it said it takes 3 on time payments but I got mines in 2. Why are you closing your self credit card?
