I am soooo glad i stumbled up on your channel! Just got a uke, and i’ve been looking for a good channel that i like for tutorials and lessons and such, and until i found yours, none really were working for me. Your tutorials are really good, and I understand the most of it! I still need to work on my tabs. Thank you for all the great help haha! :) 😊🥺
Thanks Rachel. Have been practising this and your video, as ever, is so clear and helpful. Can I ask: in the swing strum do you slow down on the 'up' coming up or is it quicker?
Hi Lisa, so glad to be helping as always. Yes, the up strum is later than it would normally be so it is later and quicker if that makes sense? If not, give me a shout.
Great explanation! I need some Rachel explanation on syncopation! I am tired of hearing that it is a 2 & 4 beat and not a 1 & 3… I still have a problem understanding it…
Very nice and helpful. Looking forward to your swing beat with the #UBass #kalaubass after the holidays. Happy Holidays to you and your family, thank you very much for all of the great music lessons. @ukulelewales is like Christmas 🎄🎶🤙🏽💫
I really struggle to hear the difference and I couldn’t follow it because it was far too fast and too complicated using different strums rather than a simple down up which I think would be better to learn something new
Hi, I do show just a DU pattern in the video but if you are struggling, I have also looked at the swing strum in a more basic video in Lesson #3 here : th-cam.com/video/2CVoEg70ivk/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps.
Thank you for explaining this so well!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Thanks Rachel. Merry Christmas 😀
Same to you! Thanks David.

Loved this comment Amy. I will certainly try and do a lesson on Syncopation soon as yes, just saying beats 2 & 4 is not very helpful!
