I think it's impressive how little did the structure and vocal patterns changed from V1 to V4 of the song, the foundation was already solid it's just that the instrumental and chromatics were lackluster
Mr. Virtual is wearing his girlfriend's head like a mask similar to Leatherface (Bubba) which is terrifying for boyfriend. It's like a victim imagining what the killer did to their loved one after seeing something familiar.
I imagine the old design is more goofy, it fits better with the parody spirit the mod used to have. In my case, I prefer the old chromatics, the new ones sound more generic and strident. I also prefer the volume control of the old instrumental, but the new instrumental is far superior. In fact, I uploaded my reimagination of the theme with the recreation of old chromatics and the final instrumental.
I don't know if it's just me but at least in this version it's easier to hear gf's voice during that entire segment of the song (probably because the instrumental of the song is not as strong as in v2)
It would have been cool if at the last beat drop the background changed to the burning circus he burned down and if clowns raised form the flames with Mr virtual face on them and in the background you could hear the screams of the animals like elephants and people and the clowns with his faces would start laughing when you mess up just to lower your self confidence cause that Mr virtuals way of a you suck or if the clowns sung along with Mr virtual Also the story of Mr virtual getting shit a Nintendo convention and wanting revenge on the cop who shot him so he posses something to get his revenge reminds me of Chucky
It’s so bad. The basis of this and the finished one hasn’t really changed, but the instrumental in this is too quite, sprites suck, chromatics suck, and 80% of the sign isn’t as intense as the v2
to an extent, i feel like this is better than the final version! of course the chromatic is terrible and some of the parts are much less intense, but otherwise this is underrated.
