Yeah it would take some poor kid years of mowing lawns to afford just the kit, then another few years for the motor and esc😂, hence why they’d just buy a WLtoys off eBay and be left with a crappy experience.
The same thing that happened to 1:1 scale racing happened to RC car racing. The cars are incredibly performant, but also really expensive. Even 1/10th scale has gotten really expensive, when you want to run a race and be competitive.
