    I've been riding sportbikes for a while now and I've been looking to convert to something more "cruiser like", but still has a sporty vibe. I think the Triumph Bobber might be the answer. I'm looking at the new "Bobber Black" version and I think it fits that criteria.

      Yeah! The Bobber Black is pretty slick! :)

    Thanks for your impressions of this latest offering from Triumph. Sounds like a fun ride. Not sure it would fit my purposes these days, but I have to say, I have dearly loved and enjoyed every Triumph I have ever owned. I have to question why, I am considering spending twice the money on a H-D ?? Boy and their toys :))

      I'd be lying if I said that didn't cross my mind after my test rides. I think it's an addiction. Maybe we should start a support group. :)

      I would be all about a support group, if I could garner enough financial support to buy one of each ... my kind of support :)

    They should make an aftermarket seat that covers the mono shock and goes back to the rear fender.... it would look a bit better ....

      Yeah, I think what they were going for was a unique look. What they ended up with was a bit of an acquired taste 🤷🏾‍♂️

      Thank you. Love the look of the Bobber Black. I'd definitely put on of those in my garage if I had one. 🤓👍

    I didn't realize the Bobber had self cancelling turn signals. I noticed you kept reaching over to kill them, but they had already stopped blinking before you got to them. Nice. Wish mine had em.
    I love a good "deep throaty."
    "Bobbers" were so named for their bobbed (chopped down) fenders. Pretty much what Harley does with everything these days. The kind that give you a nice skunk stipe up your back when it rains. Ironically, the Triumph Bobber has pretty standard fenders. It does emulate the look of their post WWII bikes though:

    NIce scrape. Hang off the inside, it'll give you additional clearance. One of the first things I do with a new bike is remove the curb feelers. Scraping the bottom of a flat peg is less intense than one of those curb feelers digging a ditch in the road.

    Does this Triumph Bobber engine have the same sound and feel of the Bonneville Speedmaster engine that you tested? The engine and the bike itself, seem very sporty for a "cruiser." If I get a Triumph, it will definitely be the Speedmaster.

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they pretty much have the same sound and feel, from what I can remember. If I was going to buy one, it would probably be the Speedmaster, as well, since the Bobber doesn't have the two-up option. Not to mention, the Speedmaster is a more comfy bike to ride.

    Seems to me like your are well on the way to becoming a Triumph guy, try out the Storm if you can.

      Nice! I can honestly say, I'm not sure what my next bike will be. I will definitely hop on a Thunderbird Storm, if the opportunity arises.

    My 2019 Bobber Black just got knocked over while parked in front of a restaurant by a guy making a U TURN. He backed up right into the bike. He said he didn't know he hit it but pulled over 100 feet away after hitting it. Says he's paying cash to fix it. Over $2000 in damage.

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sucks!! Best of luck to you! I know he wants to pay cash to avoid the hit on insurance, but here's to hoping he's good for it. Take care and ride safe (once you get that bike fixed). 🤞🏽

    How does one acquire the title of a harley guy?

    • @thatoneguymoto
      @thatoneguymoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a generic term for someone who only rides Harley Davidson's. Thanks for watching! 🤓👍

    The Triumph Bobber has to be one of the most impractical motorcycles made...but its "cool factor" far out weights its impracticality...

    • @thatoneguymoto

      himanshusurya ....small capacity fuel tank, single seat, no storage what so ever =inconvenience
      It's a bike made for the quick, short distance cruise ...and that's all its good for.

      Hence the bobber name, because everything has been bobbed off.

      Darian Simms...don't get me wrong...if I wanted or needed a bike to ride to a bike night or cruise the city this Triumph Bobber would be on the list.....Unfortunately, I need more utility out of my motorcycles even if I was to get a second bike
