Japanese are a cohesive society(no diversity), hate foreigners and foreign lifestyle (which is why the emperor insulated Japan from outside world for 700 years).. they do not accept foreigners in their land and hence, they intercultural awareness is less than 30%... Japanese don't speak any foreign language other than English and it's English speakers are less than 5%.
Understand your intention is good so, I am just sharing some realities so, you don't see this as a counter to your nice comments.
