Fantastic presentation that includes a comprehensive introduction to Wikitree in addition to covering details of how DNA is used on WikiTree. So much to take in. I’ll have to watch again and pick up more hints and tips!
DNA has become one of the most valuable tools we have in genealogy today. Thanks, Mags for explaining it so well. I always learn something new with each DNA presentation I watch.
Q if I have made research notes with sources cited in a word document can I copy my word document into my profile? Will the sources still be cited or will it only be text?
Hello! The answer to your question is yes, with some adjustments. You'll need to put your source citations under the Sources heading and add an asterisk in front of each one. This is WikiCode that will then display your citations in a bulleted list once you exit edit mode. Your notes should go above the ==Sources= section. I realize that this might be hard to visualize from a written description. If you watch any of the videos on this playlist, you'll see lots of examples of how to edit profiles: th-cam.com/play/PLEqK4ICkQWXSDUTl5g3sN8r7aqi4bXa0k.html
My god, she rambles on and on. Start at 13 minutes and fast forward a minute or two at a time. Do we really need to know that is a picture of her great-grandfather?
Very informative presentation. Thank you Mags 🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧

So much more on WikiTree than I realized! Thank you for a really informative presentation.
Not new to genealogy, relatively new to Wikitree, but total newbie about DNA genealogy, so this was a great place to start!
DNA on WikiTree is certainly more complex than I realized! Well done.
Very informative, thank you!
