    Thanks for doing this budget build, it makes it seem like a more attainable goal than all the 500+ dollars builds I watch people assemble.

    Nice video! And great to see more people going into rwd! 13.5 is a good learning base but most used would be 10.5, solo drifting you'll have enough fun with a 13.5, and from my personal thoughts, the d4 is a decent chassis to learn on but tbh yd2 and rmx2.0 are by far the 2 new learning base! But anyways keep up the good work man! We need more vids like yours ;)

    The ideal drifting turns for a motor is usually 10.5 atleast thats shat they run in most championships if not all of them.

    • @MakeItRC
      @MakeItRC  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good to know. I've seen local guys running as low as 8 and as high as around 20, so I just figured I'd go with something in the middle.

    I want to get a mst-01d rtr because I want a good chassis and something that is belt driven and I know almost nothing about servos, transmitters and such. And I plan to slowly upgrade it with aluminum parts and better electronics over time as I learn. Does this seem like a good idea or would you suggest I do something else?

    • @MakeItRC
      @MakeItRC  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a good plan to me. the MST-01D is a solid platform and getting a ready to run version is a good idea if your a beginner (though keep in mind I think you need to supply you own battery but I could be wrong).
      There are a ton of great resources online for learning more about rc drifting and rc components in general. Also joining a forum and/or Facebook group is a great way to get more info and get help/suggestions.

    • @MakeItRC

      Putting the battery in the rear adds weight to rear end and therefore aids in rear wheel grip, which isn't always advantages for a drift car.

    • @MakeItRC
      @MakeItRC  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subbing, I'm glad you found the video helpful. If your looking for an inexpensive drift car, one option you might want to consider is a Tamiya TT-02. They are cheap, simple, plentiful and there are huge amounts of upgrade parts. You can pick up a new TT-02 Drift Spec. kit for around 90USD or used for much cheaper. I've built a lot of TT-01's and TT-02's, It's what really got me into the hobby. There not the best cars in the world, but for the money there hard to beat.

      Glad you enjoy the videos! I wish I had a slider dolly or gimbal but all my camera work is done freehand or mounted on a trypod.

    I might get into RC building but can someone explain what's harder building a PC or a rc

    • @dr.notorious5609
      @dr.notorious5609 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Id say rc. In rc building you have to make sure everything fits and works right, there’s a lot of intricate parts to put together and it takes longer. Pc is usually straight forward like LEGO

    I'm really scared to get into rc drift cars because there are so many options and choices and i dont even know where to buy all this stuff and i just don't wanna mess something up,if your seeing this please give me some advice.

      Honestly same my guy I went on amazon to find my stuff just as a starting kit if you go to amazon and just look up rc drift cars if you scroll and look long enough there will be pre built cars and there will be cars where the body and every thing is built just not the electronics and if your not sure on the electronics the just find a rc or hobby shop near you to help you with doing the electronics and after you have all that done then just look up on amazon like 1/10 scale body's for rc drift cars the you can get wheels by looking up on amazon rc drift wheels if you really wanna drift then look for hard plastic looking wheels. Or just look up on google rc shops near me and see if they have any rc drift cars.
