Usually, you’d be asleep by now, especially while in your boyfriend's arms, but the nightmare you had seemed to cage your mind and keep you from respite. When you jolted awake, you woke Bucky as well. Who was quick to comfort you, letting you lay on his chest as he rubbed your back. You were worried that you were bothering him, but when you looked up at him you saw nothing but adoration and contentment. He didn’t speak, but he did start to hum. Some tunes were easy to make out, others not, but his voice calmed you nonetheless. Eventually, with his heartbeat and his gentle humming sleep enveloped you in her peace once again, warding off the last fragments of your night terror.
Unfortunately I'm ill at the moment, but I recently found my comfort character in Bucky. And lying in my bed at night listening to this gives me the security I've been missing for so long.😢
