1:44 I have this exact model from Lowe's.The start button needs to be pressed while the lever is pressed IS a safety devise.

As to the racket made by twigs, rocks etc. tells me the mower is working doing the job.As you can tell I love my Kobalt mower!😁

Piles of mulch left by my Kobalt hasn't happened in the 3 years I've had mine because I walk at a medium pace and the mower handled it.

Survey (from the youtube card thing) says 12% of people use goats. That was the most surprising bit for me. Good vid as always Parris, keep up the good work

My mower purchased last year looks similar, although has a handle in the front. The big problem with it, is that it does not do as good a job at cutting close to fences or walls, like my 12+ year old, smaller mower could. I needed to buy a weed whacker to complete the job.

I got the Greenworks 21" 13 amp which is actually the same mower, just different color and different motor cover. Its my first corded electric so cord management and planning the cutting route took a few cuts to nail down. Im happy with its performance. Only thing Im concerned about is longevity. Hows your kobalt holding up?

Sure, they've been around for decades. I remember my parents had one in the 70s. My father preferred the gas one though, stronger, no cords to deal with or outlets to worry about in the farthest area of the yard from the house. Just fill it up with gas and go.

I've owned/used this mower for 3 years until last week when the lever-controlled switch failed rendering the mower a lawn ornament. Disassembly revealed a cheaply made poorly engineered cheese-ball internal non-universal plastic part that broke inside the lever controlled PTO switch assembly. Went online to find a replacement and - nothing is available! Nor is any other replacement/repair part for Kobalt corded mowers. My advice: Buy a Black & Decker or other easily repairable brand.

Great review. Thank you for posting. You video does an excellent job showing the benefits of having a wider mower. Be sure to use a heavy gauge extension cord for longer motor life. 13 amps requires at least 14 gauge wire. It is recommended that you gauge up to the 12 gauge wire if you can.

*I bought two of these to double-team a 2/3 acre plot with my friend.🚜 **allabout.wiki/KT** We used to use a mowing service, but $240/month was adding up fast. We needed lawn equipment, and rather than spend $1200 on a cheap ridable mower, we spent the same amount with GreenWorks on two of these mowers, four 2AH batteries, two rechargers, a blower and a trimmer. I'm glad I did. These mowers are easy to push, plow through thick grass, can be used at night due to their low noise, are effortless to start, don't stink of gas, and I love always having a charged battery available. I've found that a battery can fully charge before I drain a battery (~45 minutes), so the two of us never have to stop. We get our yard done in about 1.5 hours and hardly break a sweat. We have been mowing weekly and actually enjoy doing it, despite the two of us claiming we hated mowing grass. Seems we only disliked the inconveniences that gas-powered equipment bring. Thank you GreenWorks for making lawn care fun for us.*

I caught this model on sale for $180 a couple years ago. Still running strong. 3:03 so nice and clean! Wish I had of sprayed some of that grease stuff on mine to keep grass from sticking to the edges. Now I to scrape all that stuff out and try to clean it. The blade itself is perfectly clean though. :/

My lawn hog finally died after almost 15 years. It's been so long since I've had to buy a mower I had sticker shock when i went shopping. I ended up buying this kobalt model at lowes for 179.00. The lawn hog was easier to store since I could flip the handle to the other side. But otherwise I've been pleased with the kobalt.

@@99cachorro Good to hear.My blade is easy to take off ,bring it to the local lawnmower sharpener guy for sharpen, and easy to replace.BTW,one nut and easy on and off.Be sure that every few uses unplug and check the nut is still on tight enough.I knew a guy who didn't and a loose blade came off, skipped on the ground and took 3 toes with it,and yes he was wearing proper shoes.

Are you comparing new blade to old blade? That's not really a good comparison between the two mowers itself. Also, first cut of the season should be scalped (cut low) and bagged, not mulched, like the remainder of the season.

I expected the B&D to not do as well as the Kobalt since the blades are probably real dull.
I personally would rather use a push lawn mower than an electric/plug-in mower. I hate those things!
