Grew up in the 90s, glad to say I was alive to experience this Legends reign as Manager. This is a hard tribute to watch knowing how things are these days for Rangers and the future.
Gone but never forgotten his legacy will live on through generations

I still can't accept that he is gone. I've not been back since he left the club. The standards haven't been the same since. My words for him: Iconic, legendary, the GOAT, a winner. What else can you say? The statue is amazing, I hope everyone loves it and understands the magnitude of Rangers.

The day after the defeat to Hapoel Tel Aviv I was airside in Ben Gurion Airport waiting for my flight back to Heathrow when I noticed the team was also there.
I went up to Sir Walter and politely moaned about the poor performance, he looked me straight in the eye and agreed that it wasn’t good enough and followed that up by even saying sorry to me.
It just proved all the more how he genuinely cared about the supporters, he just oozed class, a true gentleman and a true legend.
I remember when it was announced that Souness was taking charge at Rangers. I thought, what a superb move. Little did i know that the guy he brought with him was an absolute master stroke. Kudos to Souness!
Walter has a place at Ibrox to stand tall so the next generations can look at his figure and thank him , he is like a father and a true Rangers legend, 🔴⚪️🔵,

Best manager in my lifetime , legend should never be used lightly but he was most definitely a legend , I can count on 1 hand how many times I’ve been hit hard by grief and his passing is on that hand , rest easy gaffer ,,,, what a statue very well done to Douglas he’s done an amazing job ♥️🤍💙
We all loved Walter every time I watch things like this it brings tears to my eyes for all the joy he brought to us,he’s a one off a real true gentleman and when I visit Ibrox I will see his statue and it will bring a tear in my eye once again for all the memories he brought to us .RIP 💙🤍❤️🙏

I can’t stand this club. Never have never will in a sporting sense, but I will say this I’m happy to take off the green & white specs for this man! Totally wonderful man. Not just for Rangers but for Scotland. What he did for club and country can’t be ignored. R.I.P Walter.
