So there was no space for a large pit. The sides were docile, but I've seen plenty of shows there where they are. By yes, overall, fairly docile.
The pit crowd in the shot is the VIP area, which didn't fill up until halfway through the show--likely with people who didn't care so much to be there. The pit a further back with the people who waited hours to get in was much more lively, I assure you. I was up front in that section and it was jammin'
