This was definitely a sensitive and tricky video to make and I just wanted to speak from the heart without any editing or takes , just an update of what’s been happening behind the scenes. Thanks for watching Joanna x
Congratulations Joanna & Nick on your good news. When a death occurs in a family, not only is that a sad and uncertain time, but the same can apply when families and property are concerned. For some, it can even be the point where arguments and relationship breakdowns start. I'm pleased for both of you and you now have something you can build on. I know you will make it a success, as all of your hard work in the past has shown that you are capable of this. I'm pretty sure that there's a special person looking down with a big smile on his face...😃👍🏻
Well deserved ❤ your dad must be so proud Joanna. It’s always a tough time when family left are apart and the estate hangs in balance. So lucky Nick is your cornerstone too 🫶🏼
I’m glad it’s finally completed, I know it’s been rough. I’ve been so impressed with both of you trudging on through the challenges, I know your Dad would be proud the farm stays in the family, but your sisters were taken care of too. Congratulations on becoming farm owners, all decisions are yours now.
I fully understand your mixed emotions, as family dynamics after the passing of a parent can be very stressful and not easy. The legal ramifications are never easy and never just as simple as a will only. However, congratulations for coming through to the other side, and now you are the owners of the farm, and can continue your Dads legacy. I’m looking forward to being there and hopefully being able to say hello very shortly!
Hi guys, Thank you very much for sharing this video with us. I am farming myself here in Ireland, and watching and listening to your video has given me the motivation ( and the kick up my backside that I very much needed) to get my will sorted out. Draw a line in the sand. Take your time to let this great news and a new beginning for you both to sink in. Don't forget to make a will for yourselves for this point in time in your lives. Also, relationships can be rebuilt. The very best of luck to you both.
Jo, I'm so sorry you have had so much on your shoulders. I didn't realise how much you have been going through these last few years. You and Nic are an amazing team I would think your dad will be so pleased and proud you are the full owners of Dale farm. It is so difficult and awful the problems and strain that not being prepared can cause but we all put things off thinking the worst will never happen and we have time to get our ducks in a row. It's a lesson for all of us to get those papers sorted no matter how hard it can be. I'm so pleased for you and Nic you so deserve to celebrate and hopefully now the campsite is winding down and the farm quietens down you will have a little down time for you and Nic to actually relax and enjoy being the new owners. Hopefully in time relations with your sisters may improve but just remember all those conversations you had with your dad and how hard you have worked to keep your beautiful farm together, and your plans for the future.😊 wishing you all the very best and looking forward to seeing you grow and grow 💜
I would like to extend my sympathies to you for what you have had to endure through this process and run the farm at the same time . these things can be heartbreaking. at least you have Nick by your side through this.. the true meaning of family comes out at times like this and understanding goes out the window. I assure you that you are not alone in your battle. I want to wish you well as you both work your way to creating the life you both deserve from ireland.
It’s a fabulous place! Nigel and I stayed with you on Wednesday and Thursday and were really impressed! Congratulations! 🎉😊 We farm too and can see how hard you’ve worked! Also understand your sad loss too…. It will get easier, promise! x
joanna and nick congratulations that you are really the owners of dale farm. yes it must have been a difficult time indeed. i think dale farm is in good hands with you. it is good to move your tears and stand still for a moment. i look forward to the future of you and the dale farm. enjoy your evening together. 😘🤠🍁🍂🇳🇱
Congratulations both, you’ve done amazingly keeping everything not just running but thriving, with the stress of all that going on behind the scenes. I witnessed my dad go through something similar, trying to maintain relationships with his siblings and keep the farm going while grieving…..it was difficult to witness. It’s clear you have dale farm in your heart and I know your dad will be looking down proudly at what you’ve achieved in three short years!! I hope this is the start of a new chapter for you both, one you can enjoy without any uncertainty or worry. Good luck 😊 not that you’ll need it.
It just goes to show how important it is to leave a will and update it if necessary. So sorry for the difficult time. Let’s hope Dale Farm just goes from strength to strength from now on.❤.
I am really pleased that you've managed to keep the farm. Your Dad would be very proud of you. Whilst I never met him in person, we used to chat on the phone about tractors, especially the Belarus.
Good that you got the farm. It happens alot with farms that the parents want to do stuff but dont put it on paper then rest of the family think they got a say in the farm even tho they have left it
So glad you get to keep farming the land you and your dad always loved. Seen it happen where in a situation like this the farm is broken up and sold in parcels because the one that wants to keep farming it can not afford to buy out the other family members.
IF THIS DOESN'T TELL YOU TO GET A WILL DONE I DON'T KNOW WHAT DOES !!! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH THE NEW OWNERS !!!! MAY THE FUTURE BE MORE THAN YOU BOTH WISHED FOR
Not one drip of doubt that this outcome is exactly what your father wanted! I'm so happy for you that it worked out this way. It's a sad fact that these situations so often result in acrimony between the siblings. I don't think that you should have had to come up with 2/3 of the worth of the farm. You were there working with your dad all along. I hope there was an equitable settlement and that your sisters were fair about it and acknowledged that. big hugs -
Congrats Jo and Nick, Dale farm is in safe hands for the future :) My grandfather was a farmer and when he died nan wanted the farm sold, my mum wanted to keep it for me to run when I was older... but she abided by nans wishes. 30 years later the farm is run down, outbuildings fallen down, weeds galore, property split up ... I drive past evry now and then to remember how the place looked and what I could of been doing on it keeping up my grandads farming methods. Happy Farming legends
Congratulations to you both, it is quite a mountain you have had to overcome and I am very happy for you and looking forward to many more happy times to come ❤
So wonderful that you now have the farm. So wonderful that the farm is complete! Congratulations! You’ve worked so hard. So sorry that getting here has been as challenging as it has ….. I wish I could send hugs across the ocean from Canada. Congratulations again … to both of you!
You guys work bloody hard and to have everything else going on in the "background" just shows what a strong relationship you have. Congratulations are in order and I'm sure your father is looking down on you and smiling....onwards 💪🍷
🎉 good luck and remember Karma is often the winner in the end. When you walk out on a crisp winters morning and look at what you have it will be well worth everything. I loved your dad but wished he had put everything in place.
Hi Jo, been following you and your channel for years. You’ve been amazingly resilient through the turmoil and setbacks. It must have been awful having to deal with the legacy aspects and legal formalities while still in mourning for your Dad. As I’ve remarked before to you via Insta DM, your Dad would be so very proud of you. Huge congratulations on settling the issues. I wish you and Nick every happiness and success. And - because none of us knows how long we’ve got - write your Will now!!! And I feel certain that you will be across this, but it would also be wise to ensure that the paperwork is clear about what happens if you and Nick ever happen to go separate ways. Mostly, I’m excited and relieved for you. 😊
that was brave of you to do a video about this topic........so many family's go through a similar situation. often the family members are just interested in the money.......they think oh i can have a easier life with a few hundred thousand pounds in the bank but as you say your father and fathers before him did not work hard just so others could have a easy life some day in the future, so good on ya for wanting to keep it all going as your dad would have wanted, it's not easy but you know what.........'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'
Congratulations. Dale Farm will continue to go from strength to strength. You have made your dad very proud . Looking forward to another visit. Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Land causes so much trouble, it's amazing the amount of people who just want to grab whatever they can even though they did absolutely nothing to earn it ...
Having followed your channel since the early days I’ve often wondered how things would turn out under the very difficult circumstances you found yourselves in and been hoping all along that you would eventually own the farm. You really deserve it after all the hard work you’ve both put in. I’m so pleased to hear the good news - onward and upward! 🎉
Sorry for your loss, am glad you have managed to secure a chance to carry on your dad’s legacy and to keep the farm together. At least you have options and choices now. Look after each other, you seem a genuinely lovely couple.
Well done to you both I hope you both have a great future with the farm your dad is very proud of you Joe looking down and smiling at what you have accomplished all the best to you and nick pete 👍👍👍
I'm so glad it's sorted and you got an outcome that meant you could stay and run the farm. I'm sorry your Dad's wishes weren't honoured as it were. I really believe the NFU and other stakeholders have let farmer's families down in not educating farmers about the need for a will and the implications for the family or the farm if they dont get it sorted in a timely way - all the best from our small farm in Wales
I think your father would be very proud of you sticking to his wish and do the hard work of sorting out difficult family matters to make it happen. As a small beginner sheep farmer I have learnt a lot from both your dad and you two! I wish you very much luck in owning, running and developing Dale farm. And I am looking forward to learn more in your beautiful videos 😃
Congratulations Joanna & Nick 🎊.., I’ve been here from the start of your videos when your dad was there .., you’ve both worked hard and all has now become fruitful for you both on the purchase of Dale farm., looking forward to future videos., your wedding .., take each day as you see fit for you both.., families all have good and not so pleasant times., I’ve three brothers who see things differently from myself re parents home etc.., a bigger responsibility re a Farm ., the animals and trying to keep all fields and not sell any..,be proud of what you’ve both achieved and celebrate that milestone.., much love and gentle hugs to you both xx🙌✨🙏 (Have you been doing the river swimming) makes me see all in a better perspective after a chilly river dook)😊
Congratulations!!… I think! Now the hard work really begins by making your own way forward 😊. We’ve been through what we do with my grandparents house (which luckily I live in now) but fortunately we came to a resolution between us (me being stubborn probably didn’t help) great that you as the next generation can keep it😊. I do wish you both luck which ever way you go with it and I’ll look forward to what ever you show us x
Much love to you both and best of wishes , both you and Nick have handled a very tough transition with amazing courage !, I shall remember your Dad with great clarity and his painful parting, Joanne.
well done you guys I wish you all the very best so glad you can stay and carry on from your dad sure he is looking down with a big smile on his face looking forward to some great videos again best wishes Rich xx
Jo, you and Nick are a caring, wonderful couple. Happy fir the pair of you for being able to save your dads farm, even with all the struggles you needed to go through. Congratulations! ❤
Congratulations to you both on gaining ownership of the farm, your dad would be so proud of you Jo. So sorry you've had such a trying time of it, can understand having been through similar, but as they say onwards and upwards. I'm sure your followers will be behind you all the way, I know I will be.
We are pleased for a new chapter for you both. It’s a shame it had got messy for you. We had the same issues . Families can be awkward at times. We hope to see many more videos from you
Nothing worse than family, I speak from experience but this is great news for you both, Time will pass and you will build your own lives and keep the farm as you want it to be especially with dad looking down with his blessings I’m sure great work you do and best wishes with the future of dale farm ❤
Aww congratulations to you both!!! However I’m so sorry you’ve been trying to cope with the bereavement of your father coupled with siblings wanting their “money”. It must’ve been a very tough 3 years BUT you’ve done it, you’ve bought the farm, it’s yours and you should both be so so proud!!! I’m sure it won’t be long until the 6th generation takes over 😉😉
What a storm it's been for you both in many ways, a shame that a family is only in words sometimes. I wish no one would ever have to deal with things like that because it's so meaningless when it all boils down to it. But also sadly a part of human nature. I am for one happy that things have settled for you both, even though it had been a rough ride so far. Time to look and move forward. Best wishes for great health and fortunes to you both, and wish that the family will be able to be that again one day very soon. Us that have been around for a long time, still miss your dad as well, and I'm sure that he also wishes the family to be back together, even though he's not there as the glue anymore. All the best, greetings from Denmark.
Well done Jo that was a tough thing to say to all of us and you did it brilliantly. The thing is now is that all the decisions of the future now lie in yours and nicks hands and nobody else's. Yes you've got to find the mortgage money every month but you are both relatively young and resourceful and you will do it. The main thing is you look at all your options as to how you move forward but don't make rash decisions, think on those options, take advice and then make your decisions. We are behind you all the way and will follow on regardless, giving you impetus and support. What more can we say other than good luck for the future.
It is brilliant news that you are now the owners, you can now properly start to put your stamp on what is obviously a very special place to you. Good luck and I look forward to where the adventure takes you.
I've had friends who ended up in a similar situation,I'm sorry to hear that you have had such a stressful time.im sure your father would be extremely proud and happy that you managed to keep the farm together and you just need to focus on the 6th generation. And clear your mind of everything and move on
I can imagine it has been difficult I hope as time moves forward and things settle down the reality of what you have achieved brings you more pleasure good luck to the future Joanna and Nick 👍👍
Great news, you have both put a heck of a lot into the farm, for which you should both be very proud. When the title of the video first came up , I thought you were going to announce you were getting married. Take care xx
well done Joanna and Nick, best wishes from IRELAND for the future, land here can make up to 25k an acre and any buyout of siblings is usually impossible, And its no crumbling wreck!
Glad you were able to keep the farm together pity you had to buy it from watching your channel you were the one who deserved to inherit but such is life onward and upward
Aww this is great news guys. I’m sorry it’s been a difficult ride getting to this point but I have every faith in you both being very successful owners and farmers and your campsite is awesome. Your dad would be very proud of you Jo and with Nick beside you, you will prosper. Very best of luck to you both and your ongoing venture xx
Well done in sorting out the problems after your dad's untimely passing. Issues like these can destroy families so it's good your sisters and your self have come to an. amicable agreement .so good luck and best wishes to dale farm and its new owners 👍
Congratulations to both of you for keeping your farm intact and continuing the family tradition and history. Joanna, your dad was a complete wonderful man, like most of us older people. We don’t always have all the boxes checked. Your father would be very proud of how you have navigated through the family challenges. I have been watching this from the beginning, and you should be very proud of yourself and Nick in keeping your integrity, and still maintain the love, for your father, and the farm. 🙏🏼❤️
Hi Jo/Nic we all feel for you heart braking news is never easy, dealing with loved ones property in the way they would have them selfies you now have the future together to look forward to a very brave video to make emotions still raw dad will always be with you best wishes from a very windy wales martin.
Congratulations on becoming owners of Dale Farm, you have had your ups and downs, but you have come through it all, all the best in the future, well done. Xx
Congratulations to you both. You are so brave. We are relieved at the outcome. Dale farm could not ask for better stewards of the land. Can't imagine the stress you have been under.❤
The lesson for all of us with assets is make a will and keep it updated. It easy to do and avoids unnecessary pain and friction on your passing.
Congratulations Joanna & Nick on your good news.

Worst part of inheritance farms is family agreement, permanently disrupts relationships.

So glad you could keep the farm together.

Family history really does matter,,,hopefully not too far away,,you+Nick start a family,,then pass it on,,,again+again..Great video ❤🇬🇧💯🇬🇧💯
Congratulations, never easy having to deal with probate and family… move forward to a bright and fantastic future.
Great news, you have both put a heck of a lot into the farm, for which you should both be very proud. When the title of the video first came up , I thought you were going to announce you were getting married. Take care xx

Congratulations on becoming owners!
