    Small on top however big underneath, a "Shield Volcano" the eruption can last for decades.

    Hello congrats, If I'm right, people can go freely close the Volcan ? how can You be sure that it is not too dangerous, that nothing will suddenly happen ?

      Hi Gilet, yes you are right you can go really close to the Volcano. You can never be sure that mother nature will behave nicely so you enter at your own risk ;) Only go as close as you think is safe and be sure to know where you are going and how to dress. Thank you for the comment

    I always told myself I'd do whatever it took to return to Iceland when the next eruption happened. Unfortunately thanks to "it" I can't. Hopefully this goes on for a few months for I'll have a chance come summer.

    Gas Ponds recently accumulated on the valley. For humans it might be ok for a while, but for dogs who's walking on their feet and not as tall as us, can be dangerous!
    Thats why before, the area was closed for a while (and also bad weather days ago)

    I heard that in Iceland a bottle of water costs $10 and a cup of coffee costs $10 a hamburger costs $15 to buy a cap costs €35 a T-shirt souvenir T-shirt €30 to eat the breakfast costs $25 .I think that’s very expensive .here in Canada prices are way cheaper than Iceland .
