This is amazing! Thank you from the US for sharing! I’ve been watching the live videos of the eruption, and it’s amazing how much has changed since almost a week ago!
Mahalo for an illustration of aspects to view this eruption in an intelligent format. I especially appreciated seeing what it was actually like there on that side flank. 😊
Thank you so much for watching and taking time to comment. People are understandable afraid of erupting volcanoes but Icelanders are not. It is a true beauty.
@@IcelandicElements i think, it is a big luck to experience something like this in the life. It is just a unique experience. I hope to travel one time to Island, it must be wonderful there.
Small on top however big underneath, a "Shield Volcano" the eruption can last for decades. Thank you for your video. I'm glad you put your dog on a safety leash. 😊
Hi Joseph, thank you for watching. No not really but the gas is something to think about, that day there was strong wind coming from the south so I felt pretty safe.
Thanks for sharing with us your close up experience. I'm guessing this must be your most emotional occurrence in your life? Treasure it. I loved it when you said you were stepping onto Earth's newest land. I've subbed. Thanks again from the UK.
Hi Karl, It is definitely my most emotional occurrence when it comes to the power of nature so far but I feel that this a start of something bigger ;) Thanks for the comment.
Not only is the eruption awesome... the people seem to be really cool too! Thanks for the great view brother,,, wish I was there to have a cheer with you !!!! Peace and be careful. MI. U.S. /\````
Hello congrats, If I'm right, people can go freely close the Volcan ? how can You be sure that it is not too dangerous, that nothing will suddenly happen ?
Hi Gilet, yes you are right you can go really close to the Volcano. You can never be sure that mother nature will behave nicely so you enter at your own risk ;) Only go as close as you think is safe and be sure to know where you are going and how to dress. Thank you for the comment
I always told myself I'd do whatever it took to return to Iceland when the next eruption happened. Unfortunately thanks to "it" I can't. Hopefully this goes on for a few months for I'll have a chance come summer.
Nice Video! Amazing scenery! 👏 🇮🇸 Ps: Just don't bring your dog. :( Gas Ponds recently accumulated on the valley. For humans it might be ok for a while, but for dogs who's walking on their feet and not as tall as us, can be dangerous! Thats why before, the area was closed for a while (and also bad weather days ago)
I heard that in Iceland a bottle of water costs $10 and a cup of coffee costs $10 a hamburger costs $15 to buy a cap costs €35 a T-shirt souvenir T-shirt €30 to eat the breakfast costs $25 .I think that’s very expensive .here in Canada prices are way cheaper than Iceland .
You are right Eysteinn, I was there a few days ago and the area is totally different now. Today is excactly 6 months since I was there for the first time.
Thank you for this wonderful video , been watching with great intrest what is happening in your beautiful country . Just a thought , its the last place I would want to take a dog to !! Those poor hot paws !!

But then, how many live active volcanos does Canada have?
@@IcelandicElements is it because it’s all exported?
