I started learning Welsh during covid. The other day I spontaneously started talking to myself in very simple Welsh. -- This was a sign I was ready to begin with Irish (finally!)
This was such a great way of explaining the basic concepts of Irish. I have been learning Irish for years, and obviously have heard all of this before, but the way you explained it has made it all make so much sense! Thank you!
This is very helpful to me. I am learning Irish now almost 2 months from duo lingo and I've learned some simple phrases but not really teaching me sentence structure and why it's pronounced that way. I love this. Thank you! Go raibh maith agat!
Oh I'm about to listen to these as I go to sleep at night and study during the day. I'm not saying it going to be easy but it already seems your a great teacher.
They should teach Irish like this in school instead of shoving vocab at us from age 8 onwards without explaining any of it. I didn’t understand Irish and gave up, just found out i was also pronouncing everything wrong too. edit: forgot maybe they don’t teach like that down south but im from the north where they don’t want us to know Irish.
Thanks very much for the lessons. But why do you keep apologising for the characteristics of Gaelic? I'm Portuguese and we have many things in common with this language. It's easier to think in Latin languages when approaching Gaelic than in English. English is extremely easy... because it's kind of a telegram language, except when it incorporates words coming from French.
Hello I have been trying to learn Irish for a while but I am just a beginner and have wanted an accurate translation of a religious saying very dear to me but I do not trust google translate. Would it be possible I could have you translate it if I typed it out to you?
@@CelticHeritageFoundation hi, I emailed the email on the website info.celtichf a couple weeks ago and am still waiting for a response I was just confirming that you received it?
