Great video, sorry about all the damage to the van, hopefully it can be fixed and not be too expensive. No way would I have gone in that water in tunnel creek. Hope your toe is ok now Mel.💖💖💕💕
What an adventure! Hope the damage is fixable & not too expensive. Scarey crocodiles! Hope you all feel better soon❣️Keep enjoying living the dream & stay safe.🥰 Look forward to the next one😁
Hey guys, well, what can I say? I think the Gibb River Road series was one of your best productions!!! We really enjoyed this episode, and we genuinely appreciated how hard it must have been for you guys to document some of the downsides of the adventure. So, thank you for sharing the good with the bad. And I must say, it’s really refreshing to watch a vlog that lives up to its thumbnail, unlike some phonies on TH-cam! Brett, you are truly an adventurer. You embody the same level of meticulousness, resourcefulness, and dedication to detail that Harry Butler was known for. Just as Harry Butler’s expertise and passion shone through in his work, you similarly exhibit a deep commitment to your content, making your presentations both informative and engaging. Mel, it's good to see you came through with a smile on your face, given some of the unfortunate mishaps on some of the hikes. So good on you! Well done, everyone, and I can’t wait for the next vlog 😮. I hope the repairs get sorted out ASAP 🤞take care 👍 Corrie
Wow! Thank you so much Corrie, what a beautiful comment. We definitely had the goal to document the Gibb thoroughly and so happy to hear this feed back, it's really appreciated 😁.
Thanks guys for another great video! Amazing! Hope you're all feeling better. You guys must have some of the best behaved kids, so polite of Kayley to try not to cough 😊. They're both little troopers. Bell Gorge was beautiful and Tunnel Creek looked interesting & scary, well done you guys for being so brave! Hope the repairs weren't too hard on the pocket and were an easy fix. Congrats on the subscibers, we're not surprised. We love your weekly vids and its a credit to you that you havent used BS on your thumbnails every video like most, just to pull people in. Most times nothing even happened! I only watch two now, I'm so sick of all the others. Take care guys, see you next week ❤
Thanks so much, we're all better and the experience was worth the repair bill. The way people in our niche are going with their thumbnails is terrible, I can tell you that all the creators I know absolutely hate it. But the sad thing is, it works. It's OK to have a negative thumbnail if it's a big part of the story, but when the thumbnail is about 30 seconds of a windscreen cracking etc. its just click bait and the viewers need to unsubscribe if we want it to stop. Sorry for the rant, but you found a nerve 🤣
@SvedosTrippin Glad to hear all's ok. I couldn't have said it better myself! I'm only subscribed to 2, suits me fine 😄 So sick of the ridiculous clickbait & have unsiscribed to rhem. Take care guys xx
Hi I’ve watched a few of your videos now. It’s interesting to see how you do different things and I’ve learnt quite a bit as well. I found you video on weights most interesting as we are about to trade our van up from 15 ft to a 19 ft with ensuite before we go on our lap around the island. I also found your use of a drone interesting, particularly when you are actually travelling, I presume you hang out the window and operate it from in the vehicle. Keep up the great work and have fun. Cheers Ashley
Oh wow , what an adventure, well you cant say it was boring. Great footage. I didnt know you had Murphy travelling with you, shame he was enforcing his laws. Please stay safe.
So many TH-cam channels have had the same problem with the Gibb from the fridge, tyres, tables, water tanks, windows, cabinets etc. . I was thinking of putting the Gibb on my adventure but I think I might just give it a miss.🙈😵💫 we’ll done for giving it a shot.😉💪 2 more things i just want to tell you. When you go through water and the car is dry go under it and find the starter motor and were the small drain hole is spray some WD40 or CRC into it so that you don’t have to worry about the starter motor again. Second thing is can you hook up a live camera 🎥 in the caravan to see what happens on the rough roads . 🙈😵💫 take care and have a wonderful Week.🍷🍷🍻
Thanks for the tip on the starter. I had been thinking to do the same on looking in the car while driving but it just never seemed bad enough to warrant it. If you don't donthe Gibb you would be missing out on some seriously cool stuff.
@@SvedosTrippin Hahahah I think when we are up there we will do the Gibb it’s just seeing your wonderful family go through all that damage to your home on wheels. I am getting a new off road caravan made at the moment, but seeing how you guys are I will give it a try. All the best, you have a great TH-cam channel and love the way you both join in together. 🍷🍷🍻🍻🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘
I’ve done Tunnel Creek twice and it was so different each time. Loved it so much. Shame Windjana Gorge was closed this season, that one is different to all the others and really spectacular. Glad you went back and finished the Gibb 😊
Good series guys. If you run your tyres on the van and front of the car at 25psi and the rears on the car at 30-35psi (COLD) and you should avoid most damage. I think 35 is still too high on the camper. (I own a similar hybrid camper and always run it at 25 psi cold on any gravel. You never know when the condition of the road will change. Another hint, if you don’t mind. Use 4WD low range on those gravel roads, for the same reason as lowering tyre pressures. It’s also a lot easier on the car and drivetrain.
We are feeling much better thankyou. The frogs came from a seat set from super cheap like 15 years ago, we have ripped them off and sewn them on to new seat covers ever since 🤣
If your batteries are lithium and they are on the lower scale of costs, then the battery is probably stuffed....sorry to say. A basic explanation - lower cost lithium batteries are constructed of cells that are spot welded onto bars connecting them together, this is a major problem for rougher terrain as the individual cells can and do break away from the connecting bars (blame corrugations)
@@SvedosTrippin I put $20 rubber matting (pack of 4 interlocking mats at KMart) under my lithium batteries in an attempt to absorb some of the 'bounce impact'' and also tied them down very tight with rubber ''over battery'' straps....might be worth looking into for future travels.
A major negative that has come to my attention during your travels through outback WA, is just how much they charge for campsites that offer very little e.g., a patch of dirt, basic facilities (that are mostly well worn), no power and no water. These are the same people that complain about people not spending their money locally while they employ backpackers etc. and pay them minimum wages.
Nail on the head. $50 plus on a patch of dirt with no facilities is a rip off. And then to add a parent tax on top... There is a real opportunity in these places for someone to come in and offer good accommodation and fair prices and take it all away from them.
Wonderfull family, keep it up. Love you guys.
Wow guys, lots happening in that vid. Loved your accountability Brett. Ouch your toe Mel and ouch the Van!!
Thanks Mel, can't blame others for your mistakes won't get you anywhere.
Keep doing this stuff. You will find sponsors eventually that will ensure it all is worthwhile. Good luck with it all.
Thanks, one day maybe. But it's worthwhile anyway, these memories will last a lifetime.
Great video, sorry about all the damage to the van, hopefully it can be fixed and not be too expensive. No way would I have gone in that water in tunnel creek. Hope your toe is ok now Mel.💖💖💕💕
thanks so much, its all fixable, shouldn't cost too much (except the battery...).
Great Vid. we are just back from 3 Weeks up to the Tip and back....
how good, what did you think of your tip to the trip. Doing the gibb brought back tip vibes for us.
What an adventure! Hope the damage is fixable & not too expensive. Scarey crocodiles! Hope you all feel better soon❣️Keep enjoying living the dream & stay safe.🥰 Look forward to the next one😁
All better and it can all be fixed. See you on the next one.

Thanks, you have to be careful with weights that's for sure. I fly the drone from passanger seat, plenty of hours flying to get good at it.
Oh wow , what an adventure, well you cant say it was boring. Great footage. I didnt know you had Murphy travelling with you, shame he was enforcing his laws. Please stay safe.
Thank so much, to be honest, the damage was our own fault not lowering pressures... dumb mistake.
Was worth it for the experience.

Great resilience guys, tough going & you still had fun & kept smiling. What a fantastic video. Loved it p.s. I'd be scared in the cave as well.
Thanks Steve, the cave was incredible.
Mel, you were so brave going in the water with the Crocs, I would have turned around and high-tailed it back to the car lol
Thanks, Mel said she is glad she did something to scare her for the day and it made it easier trying to look brave for Owen, she was very scared.
I’ve done Tunnel Creek twice and it was so different each time. Loved it so much. Shame Windjana Gorge was closed this season, that one is different to all the others and really spectacular. Glad you went back and finished the Gibb 😊
Yeah, a bit gutted about windjana, but at least we have a reason to go back.
Congrats on 5000 subs. Been there being lazy letting tyres pressure's down. Still enjoying your videos. Thank you
Thanks so much, won't make that mistake again...
No FN way! Crocs…..I don’t even know if I can finish watching!
It was a freshie, they are not dangerous unless they feel threatened e.g. if you mistakenly corner them.....apparently.
Yeah, just freshies in there which and a big threat to humans, we won't go near water that we know contains salties.

It's an enerdrive battery... I haven't found civilisation yet so haven't been able to trouble shoot properly so don't know theboyt come yet.

I'm stunned at the parent tax what the hell is that for? Trouble is monopoly as there is no where else still $s too much for dry dirt.
Not a nice feeling mel look after yourself
