    The only thing I worry about this thing is what would happen to my 4 dogs & other pets if I got this thing? Who would care for them? Mine are all old and 1 is on seizure meds. I live alone & am self quarantining. My pets are my life - no human children. Thanks Dr. Jones for your kind and calming manner. We animal lovers don't need any more stress over this plague.

    I'm an elder high risk nyc resident, have 2 dog companions. We've been indoors since 2-29. It's common sense, but do research. Pets act as surfaces, if an infected person talks or sneezes on top of a pet, sarscov2 is carried on it for hours. Pets stick their noses into unknown stuff, and walk on asphalt etc. which are being covered with virus droplets all day as ppl walk & talk, it lives many days on asphalt. It's frightening, we will remain calm, bathe our companions and figure out a plan to cope as a family with our pets during this time... Stay Strong!

    • @xtxpxhx
      @xtxpxhx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's not exactly how it works. The virus would have to mutate to be able to infect another species. That's why it's extremely unlikely.

    • @jasonjason4921
      @jasonjason4921 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you worry your dog will bring in virus , you can put a raincoat on them so you dont have to bath them every time. Just wash their paw .

    I VERY much believe that pets can contract this, especially from their owners if they have it. I have seen 2 cases of cats in Taiwan that contracted it. Symptoms: loss oc appetite, lethargy, strong sudden uncharacteristic adversion to air pollutants, like cigarette smoke. One of that cats, the one with a stronger presentation of symptoms has serious CHF, likely a congential issue as that cat is under 5. Solution: a bit of colloidal silver in the water bowl, beta glucan to boost immune function, and a bit of very powerful lypholised curcumin. Both cats responded well and bounced back to normal within a couple of days. When pets get sick, they too can greatly benefit from a bit of inexpensive therapy. 😊

    Couldn't an infected person spread the virus to the hair/surface of the animal by petting it, then to the pet owner's hands and to surfaces in the house by the owner then petting the animal, and/or it coming into contact with surfaces inside the house after being petted by an infected person? If an infected person spits on the sidewalk (and unfortunately, a significant number of people do this regularly), then the animal walks over this, cound't the animal track it into the owner's house in that way? Should we be advising pet owners to keep their pets inside as much as possible for these types of reasons?

    Twice I have been verbally attacked while walking my dogs in my neighborhood. Let me put it this way, they were not of Mayflower descent. Being a feisty old curmudgeon, I engagedthem in some rather spicy repartee, which probably could have gotten me killed, had the women not been pulled away by bystanders/friends. I am, shall we say, not a fit combatant physically,( to put it mildly) and these gals were like female Mike Tysons. Blame it on adrenalin and love of PUGS!

    Is it a confirmed fact that these animals became infected. Because if it is I'm curious what made their situation different . If these animals were able to catch the virus why won't hours. I think what I heard you saying was that it is possible for animals to catch it but the odds are so minimal that they are non-existent. Is that correct.? With that said I absolutely Trust and have no concerns that Luke will catch this virus nor will he spread it to me

    Do you think you should bring this up? Do you think it will bode well for the pets to mention this? I think you should take down this video for the sake of dogs and cats all over the world.
