    Glad you found a mower and glad the new deck is performing. We finally had our wiring harness replaced on new mower but, now it's burning super rich and going through 2 gallons of gas per hour so, it's gotta go back and sit at the dealer again 🤦they have a new 52" Ferris that I want really bad but, the only one in stock is in Florida 🤷ugh😒

    I bought a new ZK 61” with the Kawasaki FX850 27 HP and it cuts out just like you were talking about. No matter how slow you go or how fast over bumps. I think it’s because the engine rides up and down on the deck and the other mowers the engine is stationary on the frame. It’s annoying as hell but I just go with it.

    Try a can of Seafoam in a full tank of fuel every or every other tank full for the cutting out problem and see what happens. Put it in a low fuel tank and then add fuel for a better mix. Mine was doing that as well and it seems to help. I know you shouldn’t have to on a new engine but just give it a try.

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hate that stuff. I use k100 but it’s not a fuel issue, exactly, it’s the fuel cut off switch on the bottom of the bowl of the carb. That combined with how the engine is mounted

    • @jockobacumbo623
      @jockobacumbo623 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CountrysideStrong definitely not familiar with the fuel cutoff switch at the bottom of the bowl but I have seen a wire down there somewhere, I’ll look for it when I start working on mine here in a bit. I had heard from a Wright technician that they use it frequently so I thought I would try it and now I use it all the time and it really does seem to help or eliminate that issue. Can’t say why unless it is internally lubricating the carburetor somehow but I run it in all my Kawasaki carbureted engines now.

    The engine cutting out on bumps, i would check how its getting fuel, and another possibility is ho the choke and throttle is done, it can be choking it self on bumps which mean it may need a spring pulling back on throttle or choke, there just about no way it can be a fuel problem if your other mower don't have that problem. Just maybe it has a oil sensor that kills the engine, i know some engines have them and slight hill or bump and will shut the engine down.

  • @berndtslawncare4906
    @berndtslawncare4906 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My x does the same thing. With the engine moving up and down with the tractor, I believe it’s an intermittent loss of fuel. I honestly think an in-line electric fuel pump would fix that issue. I get why wright designed that mower like that to get longer belt life etc, but with the articulation of the engine I really do think the bowl in the carb is never truly able to deliver the fuel needed at high rpm when on an angle.

The cutting out issue you gave, I don't have at all except my platform cause switch is still hooked up. I lowered the rear pitch of deck by 1/8 inch and cuts very well. Did it on the zk also and big difference in cut now. But just wanted to say that I haven't had that issue with motor cutting out and I have very rough schools I mow. • @patrickcgreene

    That engine cut out issue certainly sounds like a fuel thing. I wonder if you could replicate it by quickly lifting and lowering the height of cut lever. Since the engine moves with the deck, maybe the issue would replicate itself by shaking it up and down. You said you swapped the fuel solenoid on the sport x and it didn't solve it but I'm wondering if maybe the magnet that holds back the needle plunger just cant hold when it gets jostled hard. I wonder if there are any variations to that engine between the Wright mowers and say the Exmark Vertex. I think that engine floats with the deck as well.

  • @Liledgy100
    @Liledgy100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s hard to beat Wright mowers for there value! I believe they have a carburetor kit (or different carb) for the cutting out issue on bumpy terrain. The “fs” vs “fx” family of kawasaki motors, the fx is the better class of motor.
    My son purchased your exact mower in May of 2022, he was $10,500 including tax (western suburbs of Chicago). They thru in an extra set of blade. I have the 2018 stander x second generation.
    There is no perfect mower. Skag, Wright, toro exmark all make quality products. They all have a few hiccups.

    My John Deere 930M does that exact same thing, cuts out on bumps. Kawasaki engine. The 26 hp. Can’t remember what series it is right now but it’s a 2019 year model. I just pretty much ignore it I hate the oil consumption of that engine much worse. But I don’t think it’s fuel because it’s instantaneous upon hitting bumps. A float sticking and unsticking would cut out after the fuel bowl emptied. It’s either the oil pressure cut out switch because the oil pump could be sucking pockets of air when the machine bounces up and down, or it’s the computer itself telling the engine to stall because it thinks it’s rolling over. My guess it’s one of the two and it still may be doing it via the oil pressure sensor.
