I've been afraid to can hamburger because so many people say it's like dog food. I like how you're doing it with onions! You've motivated me to try it now !!!! Thanks for video ❤
Very informative. I enjoy your energy!! Stay warm. Gonna be 16 tonight here in Angier, NC. but Wednesday through the weekend, 60 and 70 degrees for the high. Crazy weather!!
I so enjoy how you really explain everything. Im still new to canning but I love it and you give me more confidence in it so thank you so much for sharing your videos❤
You’ve instructed us very well on how to can this hamburger. I really enjoyed your video this was the first time I found you, hope it won’t be the last!
Also, my pressure canner came with a little exercise for a beginner to do so you could see and hear how the canner looked and sounded . I found that little practice exercise to be very helpful with the nerves. 😬
I just enjoy your teachings so much. Thank you I’m new to canning and I don’t have a pressure cooker so I need to know if I can use the water bath with the canning?
I am canning ground beef today. It's fresh, grass fed beef with almost no fat in it. I'm a little concerned about it being too dry so I'm thinking of using beef broth and a spoonful of bacon grease to help with that. What would you suggest?
How much liquid do you need to heat to put in the jars? I think I would prefer to use beef broth. How many pints did 10 lbs of ground meat fill? Thanks for the informative video!
@AtHomewithMrsJoan Yes, I asked the question before I watched til the end when you counted the jars. The other question, what I'm trying to get at is: how much total liquid will I need for all 15 pint jars so I know how much broth to buy and heat up to have enough to complete the project? Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
@@AtHomewithMrsJoan that’s perfect thank you so much! I’m new at canning and I came across you and I am so excited I did! I live in Alaska and I have 2 freezers full of veggies and meat and I would like to can it up and make room for other things I’ve learned so much from watching your videos thank you and God Bless
My neighbor from Ukraine laughed when i was asking about botulism, because they water bath every thing. They heat up their foods for a minimum of 10-15 minutes which kills any bacteria..but they also use a table spoon of 9% vinegar per jar. I had to go to a European market to find it because Walmart only sells 5% vinegar..which they recommend you double the 5% vinegar.

I've canned it several times. We like it and it's so convenient to have ready to use quickly.
Thank you for showing the many things we can do to preserve our foods! 🥰
I'm always learning myself! Love it!
My sister introduced you to me. Im new at canning and love how you teach it. Thank you for explaining everything..

Thank you. My husband painted them.

Happy Canning!
Thank you for the video
How nice. Glad you enjoyed it.
Love your videos! Thank you for the inspiration! ❤
Thank you! My goal is to show others that it's easy, safe, and they can do it!
Have you ever used an electric pressure canner? I have two, and have had them for 2 years now, but have yet to use them.
No I don't have one of those.
I just bought one and will be doing cold pack meat, dried beans, and frozen veggies. I am very excited to get started.
Also, how about putting the bowl closer to the jar?
Lol probably should have! 🥰
I just enjoy your teachings so much. Thank you
I’m new to canning and I don’t have a pressure cooker so I need to know if I can use the water bath with the canning?
I don't recommend that you water bath meat; it needs to be pressure canned. You may find other TH-camrs who do that, but I don't recommend it.

So sorry just seeing this. I would do that.
thank you for the video. What is the shelf life ?
As long as the seal is good and tight it would keep several years.

@@cookingsherry8784 I covered liquid to 1 inch head space. If you watched until the end I took 15 jars out of the canner. I love canning meat.

@@cookingsherry8784 Estimation is 1/2 cup per jar. Maybe a tad more.
Only 4qts water for the canner? Even with two layers?
My canner calls for 3 quarts of water. Whether you single or double stack jars, the water is the same.
I have a question… what is the shelf life on canned meats? Thank you for the video
