  • Are Russians still using their troll armies to influence public opinion in Europe? Is their effect substantial? How does this work in different countries? How can we identify coordinated non-authentic behavior on social networks?
The Explaining Ukraine podcast invites Robert van der Noordaa, a Dutch journalist and analyst, and the founder of the Trollrensics initiative to uncover disinformation campaigns on social media. We discuss a recent study published by Robert and his team.
Host: Volodymyr Yermolenko, Ukrainian philosopher, chief editor of UkraineWorld and president of PEN Ukraine

Thank you, Volodymyr Yermolenko, for this conversation with Robert van der Noordaa. I do not understand, why we hardly have coverage on this extremely important issue. Thank you, Robert van der Noordaa, for investigating the troll armies and for making us aware of their behaviour. I do hope that the EU will listen to voices like yours, in order to legislate wisely and execute on the legislation instead of sticking our heads into the sand. I believe that only a very limited number of our citizens are aware of how much they are influenced by non-friendly agents. Devastating.

These people who allow this on their platform should be jailed. Governments need to put rules in place. This is not free speech but hate speech creating more division.
