She did hit that note live while doing the live performance of that choreo AND you could hear her voice shake just a little at the kick forward. Sua also does that note in Siyeon's stead for the live stages while doing the choreo, except she's a bit pitchy and has to stop the choreo for the second half of that note.
This choreo is all about creating imagery. The crown, the barriers, the scales of justice, the covered eyes... very cool, one of my favorites but to each their own. DC has incredible choreo and some iconic ones that's hard to top! I would suggest watching the dance version of the MV as well.
Overall it's a great choreo but I do agree with you. I really can't put my finger on why, but there are parts that just don't fit for me. There are also a couple moves that seem a little awkward to me. There are a few moves that I really like too, like that move you pointed out at the end of Dami's rap. Again, great overall, just not their best.
I like the choreo but it does kinda feel like some parts don't really live up to the song. I love the formations and the way they seem to rotate around but it just feels like it lacks a bit of energy at times. It might be that it's harder to sing? Especially if you compare it to OOTD which had a lot of "talking" lines that don't use as much air? I dunno. However, I'm still very impressed with Siyeon being able to sing those notes while dancing like that. It looks and sounds so awesome! I hope you're okay and that you take the time you need posting these videos. Even if you only posted 1 Dreamcatcher video a year I'd still watch them happily (and I hope others here feel the same) so please don't stress about it. What means the most is that you take good care of yourself and then have fun watching and reacting ^^
Yeah, the energy didn't always fit with the energy of the song imo but it could have been because of the vocals. Or maybe other logistical reasons, we'll probably never know. I'm doing alright, trying to take things slow 🙂
