Thanks so much for this. Just bought a 2010 Toyota RAV4 and I’m looking forward to doing some quick overnight camping trips and sleeping in my car will be so much nicer than setting up a tent and a cot.
It looks like you have the long/big version of gen3 Rav4. The measurements probably wont work for the "standard" version Rav4. Now I have to measure myself 🤤😅Great work, Cheers
Tremendous piece of engineering man !!! I have the seam car and I would like to do that. Question : you put the back seats all the way to the front ?? ( I mean in the part that you seat)
Hey, im curious how far you have the support beams pushed back? The rear and middle platform is 96cm and the beam is 90cm in length so to able to push the seats back the way you did there isnt enough room to close the car boot in the back since the rear panel sticks out unless im missing something here. I also have a rav4 2008.

@@DarkEvE1 the rear seats wouldnt be all the way back. Sort of 75% back. But very much spacious still for the rear passangers
Hello great build! How did u fasten the base with bolt? Did u drill through the trim?
No need, there are 2 bolts on the right and left side of the wheel arch
@@FirstLightAdv thank you sir!
Hello, how thick is the platform board that you used? Thank you!
18mm
What year model do you have please? I'm looking at a few 3rd gen rav 4's and they differ a bit from what I can tell from the ads.
@@boop7313 2008 rav4 v6 (zr6 variant in australia). Global code is gsa33r
very nice
So the bed would be 172 x 107 ? thanks!!
74 + 40 + 58, more like 182
@@pablofernandez2894 haz la cuenta de nuevo, da 172 no 182
About 180cm. I am 171cm and can lie down flat with about 10-15cm spare space
@@FirstLightAdv I am 181 Thanks!
@@Garbu Lol you could always move the front seats forward and add a "flap" just like those honda fit platforms
Dammit I'm 1 cm taller than this length😂 I'm gonna have to buy an Xtrail instead I think lol.
