Theres something about the SoD Boss Music thats just enthralling af, i've listened to this like 15+ times since it was released before going live and it still rocks!
really good. makes me feel like wow has become an "adults playground". The only raid i enjoyed, best ambience ever. the other raids were just work to me, SoD was more like a supercool and rewarding bonus level or something.
@@shakeitoff1000 He actually didn't compose any of these, Grant himself said on Twitter. The only reason his name is mentioned in the "Artists", is because the other composer, David Arkenstone, took inspiration from Grant's "Torghast Action" tracks from 9.0. This was said by another composer at Blizzard, Jake Lefkowitz.
I might be wrong but is this the first time in ages that a raid has had dynamic music like this? Most of the time the boss is accompanied by the raid ambience music but this is proper battle music and I LOVED it when it first started playing in SoD
Not the first time, they had this also in Tomb of Sargeras, Antorus (for the Argus fight), Battle of Dazar'alor, Eternal Palace and Ny'alotha. Pretty sure they had it on Siege of Orgrimmar aswell, not sure on that. But they have definitely slowly started doing more boss music in WoW for the raids since Legion, and it's great.
Grant only did music for 9.0, for Revendreth, Nathria, Maldraxxus, Maw, Torghast. He didn't actually make any music for 9.1, the only reason his name is listed here is because David Arkenstone took the "Torghast Action" tracks from Grant and built on them, made them different for the raid. This was said by Jake Lefkowitz on Twitter, who is also a composer at Blizzard. But yeah, Grant only worked on 9.0 music.

7:29 IS SO GOOD
Some of the most epic music for any raid. The fight music especially is so intense
Awesome, sounds like actual boss battle music. Love the track at 5:05.
Raznals Soundtrack is just epic af
That one's my favorite out of the bunch for sure!
Unleash the instrument!
Raznal soundtrack
Was in the raid for like 5 hours today, music never got boring, absolutely love this. 6:49 and 2:12 are bangers.
2:12 reminds me Fatescribe while doing ring phase, absolutely love it
Love the subtle nod to the Argent tournament music at 8:35
Caused a wipe on Raznal because I got distracted by the bomb ass ost!
Dude the epic parts that come up when the bosses are at 20-10% are just perfect!
5:22
This is my favorite raid soundtrack ever
Me too, i don't think they'll ever top this
Same
Anthorus raid has a lit music too
Incredibly good as always
Blizzard is a god making music
I sometimes catch myself smiling when raiding because the music is so damn epic
I love this music, specially in encounters like Raznal, Eye, The Nine & Ner'zhul
man i can't believe this was 2 years ago. time runs FAST
Your screams will echo throughout ETERNITY! *raid starts dodging spikes and shooting balls*
10:13 this is a powerful moment, when you run away from eruptions on transition on Dormazain
Sanctum of Domination along with Castle Nathria are the best raids Blizzard have come up with since WOTLK.
2:30 best part
As always, Arkenstone never fails to deliver with those tracks
1:30 :D
6:49 *BEST BOSS THEME IN WOW*
feels like i’m actually fighting a boss
God, Grant's signature touch all over this, and I love it!
Which is strange given that he did not compose all these tracks.

@@slinttu1378 eh I feel like there was music for council and slg as well if not more
@@schizoi6 Oh yeah Council did have music, only one track though. SLG had none though.
So glad to be back in SoD listening to this for season 4. When you remove the domination shards it’s a really great raid
