She wasn't really losing gravity. Her body was still pointed downward, so clearly there is still something keeping her oriented toward the center of the Earth. Also some other force was physically pulling her up. The centripetal force of the Earth's rotation is tiny and would never be able to force something up so fast once she ditched her pack. I think the force upward would be around 1 inch per second squared or something thereabouts. So she'd literally be able to stay tethered by basic string if something else wasn't pulling on her.

Carly comes running with her father, and she says "Yay, mommy's cured! She's well again! She can make dinner and clean the kitchen!" But after a minute of waiting she asks "Why isn't mommy doing anything? Is something else wrong with her?"

They should of made her an official astronaut and used her in space maybe even join the space force! and live in orbit. If the government and world got wind of this you would become famous and very valuable. The movie doesn't do this though. Yes this movie is a great and it sticks with the theme of grief. What a great way to touch apron several subjects such as Anticipatory grief and the complicated and usually out of order stages people go through and how it could become complicated. The movie shows the relief you experience waiting for a loved one to die and there is nothing you can do. I see depression vs. happiness and also the desire for death in the setting of terminal Illness. I'm glad the family recovers and moves on in the end.
It also isn't how gravity works. Gravity simply keeps you close to the object and not having gravity would mean you were free moving. Basically you wouldn't just inevitably float upwards but you would be able to move in any direction. Literally just make a device with micro thrusters to push the person downwards and act as an artificial gravity. Or just grab something and move upurself down occasionally. The biggest threat would be getting bumped and drifting/ getting blown by the wind.
Yall are taking this movie way too seriously. It's about having to let a loved one go, and to learn how to deal with the loss of one. They went through the five stages of grief through the whole movie
@@DoofXMachina I knew there would be a response like this. You can make a movie that provides the same entertainment and meaning without having to completely sustain belief or make excuses. Just because a movie has a good message doesn't mean that the actual way they portrayed the meaning was good.
Losing gravity does not make you float up into the sky. You would just float on the surface of earth. In order to go up into the sky or in any direction , you need a force and velocity. But because of friction, you will eventually stop. This is unrealistic

In movies like this it's always blamed on a rare disease it's impossible for something like that to be caused by a disease
I was screaming call NASA this entire video. i don't understand the logic of calling a medial doctor.
Umm. Pseudoscience you know.
That honestly would be one of the most terifying things, especially at the end when you'd basically just float off
If it were me I’d rather just die peacefully and quickly rather than float up and wait for death
This is why people always should not ignore there mother or father. Because one day you'll never know if they will be there Tomorrow.
Whenever I'm having gravity problems, I simply call the gravity doctor
😂😂😂😂😂
1:46 "she is too stunned to speak"
..., the woman was too stunned to speak
Couldn’t they have put a cushion on the ceiling to cushion the gravity and keep her from levitating any further than the house?
i think gravity would still get stronger making her neck painful
not really
Losing gravity does not make you float up into the sky. You would just float on the surface of earth. In order to go up into the sky or in any direction , you need a force and velocity. But because of friction, you will eventually stop. This is unrealistic
It’s a movie.please,get over yourself
Lets be real depending on how it works her gravity is never going to reach 0% in fact i doubt its ever gonna get below 2%
The Lesson Here Is Too Love You're Mother And Appreciate Her Hardwork For You
This was so heartbreaking to watch 🥺
I was that cell service!!
Providing you coverage in the Stratosphere! That’s good service
That almost made me cry literally
The 1st recap that made me cry...I'd never make it through the whole movie, lol. All of these are great, though
How the heck can a disease control gravity? the director ligit burned physics paper while making script.
It’s a metaphor my g
Where do you find these movies?
This is great hard work pit into making this videos
