The term probably goes back to the magic lantern slides that were made on glass. We simply called transparency film slide film.

I used to have a Minolta AF Tele that I really enjoyed. Could take AA batteries and have 38mm and 60mm toggle. Really cool.

Iconic photos were shot with that camera. Beastie Boys, Run DMC to Cindy Crawford and Slayer by Ricky Powell in the early 80's.

Nope, ISO is a constant for film! The film you shoot with has a specific ISO that dictates what you set the camera to
