The man had a heart of gold for the animals' well-being. PETA should be ashamed to smear his name especially when the man is deceased.

I am a conservation biologist. Whenever I go to forests and jungles I leave the animals alone as much as possible and so do my colleagues who go to extreme lengths to ensure that. And all of us were hugely inspired by Steve and his TV shows. If he did send a dangerous and fawning message, did we get it completely wrong? He was an amazing educator and he needed to handle animals to inspire bunch of us.

I once watched Steve Irwin crying over a small lizard he found on the side of the road while traveling to do his show. The lizard was burned in a brush fire and was dying. It is still one of the most powerful things iv ever saw on television. Anyone that says Steve Irwin did not completely love and respect ALL animals, be it in the wild or in captivity has no idea what they are talking about. RIP Steve, we miss you.

PETA needs to find a new target. What about the millions of dollars the Irwin family has generated for conservation and all the money they have used to buy land so the animals habitats aren’t destroyed. PETA has gone way too far this time. The Irwin’s take animals on tv to teach people about conservation and how to preserve it for the animals. While we all find it adorable to look at the animals there is always an awesome message behind it

To go after a DEAD man who dedicated his life to animals and people learning about animals is all kinds of low. Irwin was a god damn Legend. People learned more about animals from him than anyone else...and it looks like his son might be willing to be as crazy as he was lol. I love it. He's also the spitting image of his father holy crap. Sooo in a weird way its like Steve never left us. :,)

The irony is that Stevo did more as a spokesperson for wild animals than PETA ever has. What small kid ever wanted to protect animals because of PETA? A whole generation did thanks to The Crocodile Hunter!

As far as I understand, Steve-o Irwin brought awareness of animal life. He became a national treasure. We loved him - we still love him. I actually have an action figure of him (Night Rescue) still in the package. PETA's angle has always been to segregate us from wildlife or hypocritically send the message of animals being victims - Irwin saved many animals. So fuck PETA.. Steve's heart was always in the right place and I will always respect him and his work.

Steve is and has always been one of my favorites, I dressed up like him. Several times. Always known that he has done nothing but love and protect animals. Thank you Ozzy man for your tributes to this great man and his legacy!

Steve is my hero for saving animals. He dedicated his life for educating people about wild life, because of him so many people are not afraid of reptiles and don't tend to just kill them. PETA is sick organization
