What I really found unsettling about Toma was that his yandere tendencies come outta nowhere One moment, he’s happily accompanying us to the mall like any good husbando material would do The other, he’s boring his eyes onto my soul looking behind the cage like if I was his freaking hamster or something It just shows that for making a good yandere character you don’t need a whole gore fest or trying show death as something adorable But build up how humans are just a jump away into diving into insanity Toma has to be one of, if not the, most well written and scariest yandere characters out there Because he isn’t this lovesick schoolgirl acting all cute with 'senpai' as she tries to stab him Instead, Toma uses psychological horror to it’s fullest Breaking into out minds, slowly dehumanizing us until we’re nothing more than his dress up doll, locking us inside a cage and seeing us like if we were his pet Because remember, the original concept of yanderes weren’t the cute psycho lolis that we have today Is that this are insane stalkers with an unhealthy obsession with someone and will go to extreme lengths to keep the object of their twisted desires to themselves And Toma embraces that original concept to its fullest Which is why he’s my favorite character of the whole game

From the professor , to the bullying to the landlord it stress him out so much it breaks him. I bought a Japan Novel toma version and the bullying the heroine received is sorta detailed in it. Also he’s not normal he’s already batshit crazy as we know from ukyo casually mentioning it. Like in Amnesia Memories games I think he (other ukyo)mentions how Toma is as crazy as him because he doesn’t know he’s crazy unlike him. Also the heroine in the book to is crazy for liking toma that’s at no matter what. Like ukyo mentions it idk what game but the heroine would love toma no matter what he dose. In the Tomas book to I felt like the heroine would actually accept toma no matter what cus she’s abnormal. Also in ukyo books it’s less about them as a couple but him in the other routes . In one of the books he was brutally murder by toma once that he’s sorta scared of toma so he avoids him a lot in his route. Then don’t forget shins route where actually pushes an injured heroine off of him and hitting her head out of anger. Shin knows Tomas like this to but I think the heroine is the trigger for him.Also this scene was in the books and it showed his mindset throughout everything to when he locked her up to picking out the outfit. Imma be honest it’s the only reason I came back for the video now. Th books also are hella expensive and the only cheap ones are either sold only in Japan and u needed to be in japan for it. So yea idk Japanese so I just held up my phone with goggle translate lmao. I’m just a hardcore fan so I went on Japan Amazon/good reads to see Japanese reviews on buyers and why they liked it.So my interpretation isn’t that good since the words are messed up due to it being machine translated but yea.

In my opinion, this has to be the creepiest, most unsettling bad ending in the entire game. Like, damn. Toma has some serious control and jealousy issues. I honestly never really liked his character, he seemed too overbearing in my opinion, and he treated the heroine as if she could not make decisions for herself. Shin was loads better than Toma. Yeah, he could be a little harsh and abrasive, but he didn't smother the heroine, and gave her freedom and unwavering loyalty. Kent was another character that I liked because he actually listened to the heroine, and made attempts to help her, instead of just assuming that their relationship was a lost cause because of her memory loss. He even believed the heroine about Orion's existence, too. Also, even though I wasn't particulary fond of Ikki, he admittedly wasn't a bad character either. He only acted like a playboy/womanizer in order to hide his softer, insecure personality. Ikki also genuinely cared for the heroine, and would do anything to protect her, but never did anything outlandish like Toma. Ukyo was also a very well-rounded character, and he had an actual reason to develop his more savage, murderous, split personality. Going through constant death loops, and watching the heroine die either by his very hands, or by fate in each of the alternative worlds they were in took a great toll on Ukyo's sanity, which caused him to have mixed feelings of love and hate for the heroine. I wonder if there was something specific that happened to Toma earlier in his life that would create his controlling, jealous, and smothering personality. I mean, first, he kept her hostage at his damn house and drugged her with sleeping pills, THEN he essentially dehumanized the heroine, and locked her in a freaking CAGE until her mind slowly deteriorates, leaving her as an empty shell of a human being. Toma's insanity also knows no limits, as he also managed to do messed-up things in other characters' routes as well. I'm still baffled as to why some people consider this a "good ending" in the game.

There's multiple endings, both good and bad for each characters' routes within the game (Shin, Ikki, Kent, Toma, and Ukyo) but it all depends on the choices that you make. This would be one of Toma's bad endings, one of the worst ones to get, in fact.
I'm so glad that my ending was where Toma just left the city and moved far away. There are some lines/boundaries that no one should ever cross because there is no way to go back to how it was. And he messed up badly when he kept the heroine in a cage! Damn, he was even crossing a line when he lied about being the heroine's boyfriend and cut her off the world. Deciding she would no longer work and no longer leave his apartment. Like.. she is an adult and is able to make her own decisions.
