Ok, so I can hardly make it through this clip without tearing up. Partially because I so believe in the message and so appreciate the role model Sylvia Earle has been, but also because the microphone and bubbles together make her delivery sound so solemn and tender! lol!
It stands to reason that our mere presence on this planet is damaging at this point. We can't get out of bed in the morning without having a negative impact on this planet. We have a long and tough road ahead and without education we will not survive.
wow, you have the internet at your hands and you don't do research. Its estimated we get 50-75% of the oxygen from the ocean. Without the ocean the water cycle would stop and there would be nothing to refill the clouds and rivers.

goosebumps pure!
Hi, the video does have subtitles. please click the "cc" button on the video. Thanks.
I'm terribly sorry for that! I completely forgot about that 'cc' button.
But in any case, thank you so much for replying!
It'd be better if this video had subtitles. It's rather difficult to hear what she's saying word for word. :/
Sounds like Sylvia is hitting the bong in between words!

i thought oxygen was produced by trees! and we have already water from rivers and clouds, so what the ocean contribute?

The ocean is responsible for most of the oxygen we breath... do we need more explanation???
