To everyone asking about different sizes- she literally shows you in the video how to measure it on yourself. The beginning chain is the total length, watch the video to see where she says to add rows if you need it wider. Thank you for posting this it looks beautiful!
i did the beginning chain longer but when i was doing the moss stitch it wasn't an even number of stitches to skip... even though i did an even number of chains 😭 i already undid it one time and I'm afraid i have to undo it again 😢 do you know how many chains in the beginning i have to do to make the moss stitch even?? please let me know bc this one is a gift (sorry my bad english, it's not my first language)
@serenadere2402 For the length, you measure from the top of your shoulder down to what length you want to be. This measurement does include the straps as it's all one piece. When you make your chain, this is the measurement you'll use. As the video instructs, add a few stitches if need be to make the chain an even number. She did 80 chains = 14 inches for her (but this is her personal measurement and she is tiny). The first rows done in the tutorial are to cover your shoulder from the edge of your shoulder to a bit before it hits your neck. So, to cover her shoulder, she did 20 rows. Keep in mind, there are only the Front and the Back, so when you connect the two, it'll make up your side as well. Hold it up to your body, if you don't think it'll cover from the edge of your shoulder to where you want to start making the neckline shaping front piece, then crochet more rows. It sounds like you might have stopped when she did. This should be based on your measurements. Then she starts making the neckline shaping. In her video, it took her 9 rows (from row 20 to row 29) before she didn't have to keep decreasing at an angle and could just crochet straight across. For this part, do the same. Crochet the 9 rows exactly as she shows it. However, the section she does before she does the opposite side of the neckline shaping is where you might differ in measurements. The pattern calls you to repeat the crochet rows 29-32 for the stitch design and she does this until she hits row 46 for HER measurements. Depending on your size, you may want this front section to be wider than hers. If you think 17 rows (29-46) is too small to cover you properly before you do the neckline-to-shoulder section, add more rows. To kind of gauge how many rows you need, you can flip the work you have now (before doing this straight section) and hold it up to your opposite shoulder. If it hits you in roughly the same spot on your other shoulder (it might not, not everyone is even on both sides), then you can measure this piece width wise. If you measure yourself shoulder to shoulder, you can subtract this measurement twice (for both shoulders), then use the remaining measurements to know how many rows you need for the middle part. Even with these measurements, it might still take you a few tries and frogging before you get just the right amount of rows to get the right fit. Then, follow the tutorial to do the increases to make the neckline shaping for this side of the piece and to make the strap section. The amount of chains used to make the shoulder height part might differ if you don't have the same length measurements (80 chains = 14 inches) so you might need to count the chains from the inside edge of the shoulder strap to the top of where it starts to become an angle. Use this number to crochet the chains for the opposite shoulder. This strap section should cover your shoulder. It might be the same amount of rows on your first shoulder section or the same measurement if that's easier. Hold it up to yourself until it looks like the front will fit you. Once it looks like it fits, cast off. It looks like the back is made the exact same way, except she doesn't go as far down during the neckline shaping so it has a shallower neckline. This just changes the amount of stitches she used, not the amount of rows. But repeat the same amount of rows for each section that you did on your front when you do the back, so they are the same size.
I am somewhat a beginner and just made a couple of simple crochet projects with uniform stitches and no inc/dec before this. I made this top for size XL and this came out super cute. It was fun to make and fits perfectly. The tutorial is so detailed and it was really easy to follow. Love u Chenda ❤

Just finished crocheting this crop top tutorial of yours miss Chenda and i really loved❤️ it fitted well on me🥰😁 thank you so much for making your videos detailed and easy to follow💖 may God bless you lots of followers😇
To those who are crocheting with this video, there’s a minor error in row 21 front & back panel, row 21 didn’t decrease stitches which is supposed to decrease 1 stitch. So in row 21~28 totally decreased 7 stitches, that’s why in the following moss row has 1 extra stitch. The foundation has 79 effective stitches, but later in row 54~74 it has 80 effective stitches and an extra stitch in every row.
Hi from Ukraine! 🇺🇦 Finished it today✅ Thank you very much for this amazing tutorial❤️ I used YarnArt Jeans 50g/160 m, hooks were the same. 165 g is the weigh of my top! Oi tudo bem e com vc. Eu não tenho certeza de qual linha ela usa, mas me parece muito com a linha Cisne que tem a tex 590. Que é muito parecida com a grusura do fio que ela usa.
I like your channel and I have enjoyed making the skirt and one of the tank tops you have for my daughter. I started doing this one for me and I am having a hard time making the middle part (in between shoulders) and the increases after the middle part even. For the middle part, I am ending at either even or odd number so I am decreasing so I can make it even sometimes. For the increasing part, I find that if I increase per your instruction, it's higher than when you decrease on the first shoulder. So I just increase on first row going up and not going back down (if that make sense). So far it's been even and I'll have to see if it's even all the way when I finished the front part so I can re-do the back part (the uneven one 😆). Otherwise, it's nice and easy to follow pattern
