    Great tape. I use it quite a bit. You can get it at auto zone and advance auto some times. It’s high dollar tape. But all good tape is high

    That smooth back (not the sticky side) is what I like BEST about that Precision Tape

    For what it's worth, AutoZone sells a LOT of different 3M tapes in their paint section. At least mine does. Getting ready to tape up a car for its spring detail so this video was timed perfectly!

    Ultimate Finish a Company in the United Kingdom prices beats Esoteric prices even with the shipping charges and the arrival is maybe a day or two after Esoteric. $70 worth of Kamikaze tape from Esoteric equals $53 at Ultimate Finish. Shipping included in both prices.

      Or you could just buy this tape.

      @Obsessed Garage, 👍 I'm just saying. Not only the Kamikaze tape is cheaper but all Kamikaze products as well. Another example: Zipang Coat at Esoteric $319.95 at Ultimate Finish $230.99. That's $90 difference. I'm just saying, why pay more?

    Another great vid Matt. Do you find yourself going for a couple of specific sizes each time? Just not sure if I need to buy one of each size. Maybe a thinner one for intricate areas and a bigger size for general trim taping? Cheers

      The 1/4" would be used the least and 1" the most.

    Do you tape off the windows when you wash the car, and if so, which tape for that? I recently redid my car audio and there was rust behind the door panels. plus who knows what the water does to the non-metal parts of the speakers. I live in AZ and this car only sees water when I wash it so that is when it is happening. What tape do you recommend to seal off the windows? any other thoughts on whether you have experienced this?

    Which tape would you recommend for quick protection for the front bumper from rock chips for a road trip?

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd just use blue painter's tape for that.

    If I pick up the 233 tape, can I have it since you Don't need it anymore? lol.
    Anyways. Nice video! Like you said, there isn't much videos on tapes. I'm just as picky and If I had the money I would be the same way and by 100 diff. types of tapes to find the perfect one lol.

    Squeeze your roll of tape , if it is soft you have less tape on roll, if it is hard you have more tape on roll.

    Matt, quick question man.... i have an 2016 BMW 435i estoril blue. My IG is Twinscroll_F32....i want to polish the tops of the car some.... can i do it with a regular cordless drill and just buy a couple pads and polish ? I might only do it once and dont want to invest in the entire setup. Thanks

      @ObsessedGarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't do that. You'll have a high probability of getting holograms and creating pigtails that would be hard to get out by hand.
