I noticed a big improvement using the Botany Bay, which in my case by using the independent archive now collects corrupted and decrypted data faster and fills the cargo bay three times in one row, e.g. instead 60000 decrypted data in Ilmater it loads 180000. Similar with using the Vi'Dar, the loot collected hunting Borg probes is about 25% higher, the reward in the refinery is higher as well. All in all it's a development into the right direction reducing the frustration of long lasting and tedious grinding. Nice would be the expansion with mining/survey ships by reload an empty node and autoreturn to base when reaching protected cargo limit and/or full load (option in the game settings!).
