If that track wasn’t that rough Jessie would have won that race. He had the fastest car. Hell of a job. Keep up the good work and that car will be in victory lane.

seat time doesnt have anything to do with a rough track, thats called track prep by the track crew, not the race driver.

One thing I really enjoy about this group is the Support towards jesse. Helping him become better and better every time he hits the track. From the Coaching all the way to the talks from joseph and jonathon. Really shows you how good of a group of guys they are. Jesse almost had this one but the bad track got ahold of him. I think Jesse did a damn fine job. Given the fact the racetrack looked like he was driving over a cheese grater I thought he did great.

Great job Jesse! just a word of advice and i'm sure your gonna get a lot of it but drag the left rear through the holes and keep the car pointed into the track were as you send the right rear into em and it sends the car up the track. take it with a grain of salt but awesome job keep it up!

This is a version of Jesse that I don't see often when watching. More composed and serious. Probably the nerves lol. Solid run. A dang near perfect debut if you're asking me.
Ya defiantly needed shock change for that track... I myself would of pulled of so I did not bend up my equipment.. But Jesse drove darn good..
You could see it in hotlaps that it was going to be rough. I would've loaded up and left then.

A win would have been awesome for "crash" but there's a lot to be proud of with that hard fought 2nd place finish cuz like Jonathan said Taylor has a lot of laps under him and 2nd is nothing to be ashamed of
Yes Jonathan was correct. When the track gets like that, there is no replacement for experience. Jessie was alot smoother with the hands.

Jesse you did a great job. You need to tape top of wheel with white tape. It's a good reference for your hands and crew can see how much your moving your hands. Always helped my team.

Ran the same bumpy groove the whole race, you could see the 36 pulling away running a lane up.
@Lucas Oldaker I think it just comes down to inexperience but I thought Jesse did good. Can’t wait for more
Only problem was, the bottom still had moisture. It's a game of chance when it works out like that. It was just a bad bounce. Almost every car was on the bottom because of moisture. Joseph was telling him stay low. Would have been too risky to move him up track with little moisture
@@mikekirby7169 The 36 had no problem. Maybe bad coaching? I would have at least tried it a few laps in 3 and 4.
Grip makes zero difference if you have to completely get off the gas because of the bumps.
@Lucas Oldaker yes I believe he felt better with him on the bottom where a little moisture still was. He was probably thinking from lack of seat time that was the best spot to stay In The lead

Best ive seen him race tbh. Hes lerning from a couple good ones (HTF crew). He even did it on the worst track possible. Still hell of a opener. On to the next💯👉

His hands were night and day difference in the capital versus the masterbuilt
@@ethanredmon6395 I agree they were much better than they were but the stripe would just give him a base of how much the wheel is turned and also makes giving feedback easier to the crew for adjustments
I guarantee you there were some guys out there sawing their wheels a lot more than Jesse on that rough track. Joseph would have had to do the same... although Joseph looks a little smoother because he has a different style... he lets the steering wheel slip through his hands and doesn't keep them in the same place on the wheel as much.

When Jesse got passed, you can clearly see one line higher was smoother. You hit the same holes lap after lap, great job on being consistent though!?!
Joseph said that the high line was smoother but he didn't want to send Jesse up there... it's a trickier and a mistake up there, you're over the cushion or tagging the wall coming out of 4. That's why they said experience paid off... 36 made it work and it got him the win.

Been watching for the last 3 years and I know it's hard for the local tracks! But that track is always super rough in the same spots every year

former dirt tracker here..drove everything from the 4 cylynders to super lates and sprints..ain't nuttin to hang ya head about ...car ran well and looked good...just remember ya can't win em all and to take second on a track that had holes and ruts like that says something about ya driver..i used to run capitols right before i quit racing and i can say enough good things about em...keep ya head up Jesse...looking forward to the rest of the season #HTFNATION

Jesse looked good in that Racetek-powered 602 Capital! It's miles-better than the MasterSbilt. Got his first career late model win in the heat race, and ran second in the feature, also the best finish of his late model career. Only up from here! Good stuff.

Yeah they said they need an adapter or spare wheel hub and steering wheel I think before they can use it. They were busy getting the car ready this week so I'm sure when they get some time they will get it done.
It just needs a wheel or a t bar on the end to be usable and cut down to size from what they said when they opened it up

Great job Jesse! What a difference a better car and new motor makes! I have seen you drive enough to know that was all you needed to be competitive. The hot laps and heat race had to be confidence builders because you drove it so well. That track is known for the gigantic holes as you know so I was happy with your second place in the main! Honestly that was a good race. The track was the same for everyone out there so no had a advantage unless you had experience on a rough track. Jesse did awesome and this will help him get better. I seen all over FB people upset, but they fail to realize its the same for everyone. Great Job Jesse
