    Bought a trailer back in November, been living in it with my dog sence, just finished doing all my windows too. I build Trailers for a living, and thought I knew all there is to know, however living in one has taught me a lot more, overcoming chalenges and learning new hacks is almost a skill now. 👍

    We started using reflectix a couple of years ago in our bedroom window. We love that it keeps it cooler and darker. We can sleep later. LOL!

    What a great way to keep your cool! 😎 We are in the Michigan UP to escape the heat, but it was 91 today. 🥵 It’s supposed to cool back down Wednesday though. 😁

    I appreciate the numbers you tested for. I just put reflectix in my travel trailer. My trailer is older and the older lightbulbs put out a crazy amount of heat. I will be switching them out for LED bulbs as soon as possible. Great vid. I am in NE Texas. It is hot here too!

    Great idea with the pillow in the sky light. At Lost Lagoon in El Campo now. Not a lot to do in the area but an amazing pool here. The camp site is awesome.

      @@Millers_in_Motion I think it would be a great place to spend 2-4 days. We got here on Friday and it was 99% full. Sunday at 11am it was down to 40% full. So I would try to get here on Sunday so it is not so crowded. It would be a great stop on the way to somewhere else. Maybe a stop from Dallas to Padre Island or Corpus Cristi.

    We have the same issue here in FL. My 26DBUD only has one AC, it did ok last summer but this year its struggling with the record heat. We went camping to Margaritaville and the AC could not bring the temp down below 90s, it was bad.
    I recently bought a portable AC and rigged it up to assist but will also do the reflectix on the windows.

      How did your a/c work out? I bought a stand up a/c from Walmart it heats up and the tubing doesn’t fit in any of my windows. I’m returning it. Did you have a window unit? Help & got in Florida

    We did this with our windows in both of our campers. I used the 3 M silver tape and went all around my frame. It has helped tremendously. Is it pretty no but in this Texas heat I do not care if it’s pretty

    Great video. I used that stuff to wrap my hot water heater at home and put it on my open wood ceiling in my garage. It works! I did have my windows in 2 of my vehicles including the front windshield coated with a ceramic tint. The heat reduction is amazing! Would that be an alternative???

    THANK YOU for this video! I (Nancy) just installed Reflectix on all our windows (our Momentum) and loved the results....not so much the look, but it did make a big difference in reducing high temps.....is there any way you can send a picture of the magnets? Are they still sticking to the window frame and the Reflectix? I tried Command velcro strips, but the adhesive didn't hold to the hot window frames. I wanted to try magnets but thought they wouldn't work. Maybe provide a link of the magnets you used? Thanks!!!!

    • @Millers_in_Motion
      @Millers_in_Motion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching, so we are still discussing if we like the magnets or not… They work fine in the smaller windows, but they are struggling to hold up the larger ones. We are actually considering using Velcro…

      @@Millers_in_Motion Let us know if your Velcro works. On our two huge windows, I put spring tension rods to hold Reflectix. Rod are between the valence "sides". Working ok for now.

  • @ValentinMiholic
    @ValentinMiholic 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Shouldn't these be attached to the outside of the windows? As in before the heat from the sun light gets trapped in between the window glass and the reflectix?

    • @Millers_in_Motion
      @Millers_in_Motion  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would be worried about attaching it outside and the adhesive damaging the slide wall, its works pretty effective on the inside and its protected from the weather.

  • @jeremywaldrop3247
    @jeremywaldrop3247 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you have dual pane windows? I read somewhere using Reflectix on the inside of dual pane windows can cause them to crack. I was going to do this to ours but we have dual pane windows

    • @Millers_in_Motion

    • @Millers_in_Motion
