I don't think Brooke would have liked everyone talking about her attack especially without her there but it would have been nice to see all the reactions.
she literally kept showing up for Brooke even tho she was pushing her away and was low-key mean at times. she clearly didn't want to push Brooke into a conversation that was gonna trigger her but she seemed VERY concerned.

BROOKE WAS SUCH A GOOD FRIEND TO PEYTON, WHEN PEYTON WAS ATTACKED THE SECOND TIME, SHE WENT THROUGH THE ATTACK AND HELPED HER BEAT UP PSYCHO DEREK!!! I WAS SO SAD IN THIS SCENE, SHE WAS SO BLINDED BY HER HAPPINESS THAT SHE COULDN'T SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO HER BEST FRIEND!!!!

Brooke literally knew that Derek almost killed and raped Peyton and not only did she not ask her how she is or share any concern, she had the audacity to make cruel jokes and be bitchy to her while she was already overwhelmed w trauma and pain. 2. Peyton saw that she was lying but she didn't wanna push her. you don't assume that ur friend was attacked out of the blue lol. I think it's lovely she's finally happy, she deserves it.
