Awesome video, Ken. And it was great seeing you again at the SFDM this past weekend! Thanks for providing this commentary on your first flight for the Avata 2. I am looking forward to receiving mine and trying it out!
1st review had to go to you Ken 👌 sweet, I think i'll be buying this bad boy after the initial buyers ( aka DJI beta Testers ) have concluded its not got any major flaws.
I've had my Avata up to 68 with the wind. I really hope you can eventually use the goggles integra and controller 2 with the new avata I don't think I'd buy all those things again.
This definitely looks like it flies so much better than the original avata, which I have. And it even looks better, more sleek than the original version. I might have to sell my original, once I’ve saved up some money, and bite the bullet and get the new one. With my original version I have both the normal controller and the motion controller 2, I like flying it with both and I’m sure that I’d like to fly this new one with both controllers. You’ve really shown just how much better this new one is over the old one damn it, now I just have to have it lol.
Thanks so much for the vid: Do you think the new light seal on the Goggles 3 will work with the Goggles 2 & Integra? (The Googles 3 ‘look’ like the main part is essentially unchanged? - apart from the forehead mount).
Hey Ken great video. I'm not ready yet to pull the trigger on the Avata drones just yet. I do have a client that needs this type of video soon so perhaps I should get with it.
Thanks Ken for putting Avata 2 through the paces. I know it's not hard core, and whoops in general aren't, but I have been flying since 2019, and finally decided to see is I like FPV (and can develop any chops) Got the FPV Controller 3; the goofy motion controller looks fun, but useless trying to fly and try to get SOME manual skills. Nothing ventured.. you know?
Nice test flight, you really put the new Avata 2 through it paces. I'm impressed with the speed and the performance. Great review, and thanks for sharing.
Been looking for your video since the Avata 2 release. Glad I found you. If there is anyone who can evaluate flying inside with this drone…YOU CAN. Can you and would you use this for real estate when flying inside? Also, how does it do when matching up footage from say your Mavic 3 Pro and/or, the Mini 4 Pro? As usual…great job.
Awesome! The bundle is a great price too for what you get! a ready to fly 03 air unit drone costs $500+ and with the goggles 2 you were over $1100! I think the top speed is safely about 40mph when I make turns the speed of my drones are faster than when I'm going straight with the same throttle input. The dang thing looks fast on video and smooth which is what matters to me....Smoooov! Great review as usual!
In manual mode, what setting of degrees for the gimbal is best to attain above 50mph? 20 to -40 or 20-40? With or without filters for faster speeds? Thanks
So how do you feel about not being able to use anything from your investments on the avata 1, can't use batteries, controller goggle, not sure if you have to pay for yours. i have 5 quads from DJI having to buy all new for each one, the mini 3 and mini 4 you could use battery, but their output is different. Think DJI has made me peak with what i am willing to buy. Ya I'll opt out of the Avata 2 and it really pisses my off the are still shoving the hand control u you, or down your. But once again you did a great video.
Great flying especially near the power lines, this place looks so familiar, i'm also in Tampa. I'm more of an FPV pilot and Walksnail Avatar systems but after watching this video, this new drone system looks so good. Thank you for sharing. Also, i own a Kia Soul XLine edition, so weird. 😂
would love to hear how you prepared to fly manual with the avata. what simulator did you use to prepare, etc. haven't been able to master the manual mode on the original avatar.....
Thank you for yuor review im returning to fov after 3 years away did it for almost 14yrs now im lokojgn at this for property and some outdoor would you usecit yuorself for indoor ?
It's a good choice Because you have some sort of rescue A bad choice, if you want to go into the freestyle direction, cause you will break it a lot and it will be much more expensive than buying BNF (build your own) Quad which is purposely build for that
@@Busaryda06 but also than I would recommend, to buy a freestyle quad. Best would be to watch some of those nice tutorials to build your own, so you can fix it later Get 10 Lipo packs, a lot of props and some spare arms and motors and start your trial and error phase. If money is a bigger problem, try a sim. I don't like the Sims so I spend my money mainly on props, sometimes a motor or an arm. And week after week you feel a bit of progress. Still for the highest, but don't get disappointed, if some moves don't work out.
@@philihc Thanks so much for the info. I've actually been looking into sims for more advanced flying. I initially learned the basics on a sim my daughter had on her MacBook.
🦆 that 🐑, PG code 😂 . Hey you should also add a link for the 03 controller on your other video. I ordered a combo but was in such a hurry I forgot about the controller, then went back and ordered it later ✌️

Great video. Enjoyed it. Mine is coming in Saturday. One question if anybody knows. Does the PIP make it where the rule of having to have a spotter with FPV drones is not an issue if somebody tries and busts my chops? I'll just say, "I was using PIP, don't need a spotter"? Hope so. Coming from a first time drone flier with a Mini Pro 4, posted my first flight ever with a drone and edit on my channel, but I'm learning. So much fun. Got to start somewhere. Great flying Ken! It definitely looks very smooth!

Might have to sell my version one and upgrade.

Excellent flight with the Avata 2. What's your impression that the RC FPV 3 is missing the 5.8 GHz, is it problematic?
Will you be making a phone holder for the RC 3 remote?
Great video Ken.
Looks so much better than the first edition ! Just have to buy one it looks so good !
can you do a video on how it performs in low light a.k.a. in a house tour (inside)? thanks!
Love your review my dude, I glad you pushed the boundaries of this avata!! I'm definitely getting this one. LMAO, show him your drone bro. 🤣 🤣
Will DJI ever do a combo that includes a Real controller?
I’ve asked them and got no response which is weird
Do you recommend the the Dji 3 controller?
Gotta love a little nascar action..
I hope they fix the propeller snapping this time around

You’ll need the V3 as of now

I am backkkkkkk
You don't have to have an observer? How is that?
Because you don’t see someone doesn’t mean they aren’t there. I don’t ever have my family on camera period.
If i wanted to get imto racing drones would i get one of these or one of those other types that you build?
What do you suggest?
Does the FPV controller work or would I need the 2?
Need the DJI FPV RC 3
Thanks! G great review.
What remote control are you using with it?
RC 3
Hey there, I took a double take when I head you ask if you should fly up to the man… 😂
Great first flight with the Avata 2.
Thanks for sharing
does it have to take off from ground or can i just toss it in air like all FPV drones and just fly it ?...
took off from Toms truck lol
Man this makes me want to get one of these and the goggles. I know I get motion sickness with my kids quest 3 but man I’d like one of these
So here’s a fun fact I get motion sickness pretty easily but because I feel like I’m actually flying or driving this I don’t feel as nauseated by it
@@OriginaldoBo I think it’s worth a try before you buy lol

Can the Avata Goggles and controller work with the Avata 2?
Yes.
Great review 👍👍. Sounds like there will be another drone Pilot thanks to you. 😁
What’s the battery life? Does it have a camera better than the DJIFPV?
22mins
Amos your Avata 2 FCC or CE?
FCC
On my first flights, I forgot that the camera angle could be adjusted 💪👍🏾 I'll definitely get a better flight experience 💯
Watched until the end. Yaw washout?
None
The Yaw tumble was completely eliminated on this upgraded version of the avata.
