All I know is with Aerosmith I loved the song, the high note, tha ability to sign along with it. I even saw them in concert with my late hubby. However, I NEVER felt the angst of the song until Voiceplay. That feeling, that knowing, that you can't go back and re-live the good times, the youth, and you are older and going in the wrong direction (seemingly). Now, no matter how many times I hear this, I am left with the yearning to go back. Kudos to Voiceplay. Thank you for your reaction.

Yes, Voice Play does some really nice classic rock covers that you would think can not be done acapella (Metallica "Nothing Else Matters" and "Whisky In The Jar", "Carry On My Wayward Son", and "Seven Nation Army" to name a few of my favorites). They are the kings of Halloween with an extensive playlist and just recently released their new cover of Michael Jackson's "THRILLER" - it is amazing! I know you like Home Free too so you would get a kick out of Voice Play and Home Free together in their old cover of "Survivor- Zombies Vs Hillbillies". You would probably enjoy their Halloween twist on Stevie Wonder's classic "Superstition" as it has a Rap solo from J. None and also features Omar Cardona. Voice Play's "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "Hellfire" have both been submitted for consideration for Grammy nominations for best arrangements in instrumental or acapella category. Voiceplay always pays homage to the original, but never is it a copycat. They did a version of Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel which has been presented for consideration for a Grammy, as well as their version of Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's been too long (at least for me)🥰 I hope, you take a look to some other videos of them - just for Halloween they released their version of MJ's "Thriller" that might interest you (with insane make-up and instead the narration by Vincent Price a narration by "Geoff Priceless"😆). But they have a lot of good songs for every taste to choose from (even an 'instrumental classical song-medley' or Disney songs to 80s/90s pop songs and the 2024 Grammy nominated Michael Jackson cover "The way you make me feel" with a more 'groovy/jazzy' vibe.) Hope to see you soon again with a reation to VP (or a solo work by Geoff)!😃
I think that bit from Layne just proves he's learned how to swallow a helicopter. This was Eli's high school, now just a dead shell. Glad to see you again! Eli (the bald guy) is the one that can deliver the rock rasp (known as the Rock God), but Cesar really, really wanted to do that high note so Eli gave it to him. Cesar's high note here was G#5 (Steven Tyler's note) and recently he's added a C6 and D6 to how high he can get. Before Eli (like jelly) joined VoicePlay in 2010 he was in a couple of rock bands. We all feel lucky to have him, and still being one short since J None is in the US Navy. But VoicePlay has taken advantage of that and because they work in theme park city - Orlando, they can find a really incredible diversity of vocal talent to add to theirs depending on what they are looking for. They've got a lot of amazing work that could stand to have you stop and take a listen.
Probably my favorite from Voiceplay. This is the one that got me to really pay attention to them. I'd always been disappointed when they did yet another Disney one, but THIS. Yes, please. And then there was Seven Nation Army. Holy cow! And Black Hole Sun. Both of those feature Anthony Gargiula. Definitely prefer their grittier stuff. Fun fact, it was Cesar (listed as the baritone) that took the high note. Either Eli or Omar could have done it, but Cesar said he wanted to.
