With those scenes appearing in the early seasons it makes me think they at least had some idea of Mac being gay/the Dennis and Mac sexual tension even if they didn’t plan on it becoming as serious and concrete as it did in future seasons.

Folding your body like a jackknife does, then straightening out before hitting the water. Calvin is correct in describing what a jackknife dive is technically. When you bring one knee to the chest.
