Ya, I wonder about this too, because it really is very impressive and in all her other fitness videos/challenge accepteds. I wonder is it because of her young/early background in professional cycling; does any background in professional sports train you to be that "trainable"? Give you the baseline fitness, discipline, motivation, and mental aspect necessary to be able to try all the other sports too? Or it's not this and it's how athletic, positive and dedicated Michelle is. After all she trains 5x per week :)
@@ciararyan-gerhardt6026 Good thoughts. I just finished watching her rock climbing episode and there was a moment early (at around 2:50) where the climbing instructor told her his philosophy about heights and the viewer can see her quickly master her fear impulse and internalize his message, all within about three seconds. Most people would indulge in their fear impulse in this situation and squeal and moan about their feelings, but she has developed something of a Stoic ability to move past feelings and into useful thoughts. As you say, probably skills learned from competitive cycling earlier in life.
@@est9949 I would preface by saying that we've lived our entire lives up to this point getting so many negative influences from our weak society. We've probably internalized and normalized being weak, as easily as being hungry or tired, and so the changing this will require time and patience and dedication. Don't expect everything to reveal itself at once; Michelle did not become tough by reading one book. With that said, I think that Daily Stoic on TH-cam is a good primer for the way the philosophy works, and that Marcus Aurelius' Meditations is an accessible book for making small, positive gains. After that, the third step would be implementation by doing challenging things and utilizing the mindset - utilizing the ability to stand up to discomfort and move right past it. I'd also recommend Sam Harris' book about mindfulness: "Waking Up".
I’m so surprised about the teacher. He’s literally the best teacher that I saw from Michelle’s show. He had her back when he thought she was about to fall, and he showered her with compliments. He made the instruction clear and simple too. Great video Michelle! Keep breaking the stereotypes!💜💜 we love you!
He's also great with scaffolding. You can see how he starts with easier, doable exercises that give her a basic sense of how the exercise is done and that build her confidence, and then gradually increasing the difficulty level based on how she responds, such that by the time they get to actually doing the full skill he's trying to teach, it no longer seems nearly as intimidating as it was in the beginning. He never goes from zero to a hundred.
@@catinabox3048 It's a really excellent approach, and one that I learned to apply to everything else in my life, thanks to parkour. In the groups I trained with, I learned how to coach this way as progression building. It's like what fitness trainers call modification, when they show clients/students variations that are easier or more challenging than the default. Progression or scaffolding as you called it lets us break a single target movement or exercise into a series of connected achievable milestones, each of which contributes one simple movement or even part of a movement that all build into a whole compound or challenging movement. Michelle's awesome Black Widow stunt training video shows them using similar building methods. You can use this approach for any task or project, from building an outline for an essay or research paper, to a multi-month project at work, to breaking down a kong vault, etc. I've seen this approach used in a lot of different physical activities, but I learned it best through parkour and some adjacent cross-training. On concrete and street/park walls and handrails, we have no safety buffer like a crash mat. So if we don't want to literally break a kneecap or cheekbone, we need to be very intentional about building these progressions in a way that fits each individual's ability in each moment and at each stage in their training. Maybe you have learned the skill overall, but you just got over being sick last week, you didn't sleep well last night, or you missed breakfast this morning -- adjust your intensity level and expectations accordingly. What Jesse said near the beginning is absolutely something I learned and taught as well -- parkour training (and I think all other physical/sport training) is about finding your limits overall and in the moment, doing your utmost safely within those limits in the current moment, and over time learning to push and expand your overall limits in a safe and healthy way. The great thing is that there's no single fixed process for learning this way. For example, there are tons of different ways to build progression into the kong vault they learned here. We didn't have crash mats at the park, so we couldn't encourage new participants to do a full send over a foam block and land on mats on the far side. So we used a more incremental process of acclimatization. The student would hop in place, placing their hands on a railing. Then they'd kick back with one leg, going into the hop. Then they'd approach from a step into the hop and kick. Separately, they'd work towards hopping into a mid-air push-up for a moment, on the railing. This would progress into a tucked planche. Combine with prior and concurrent training on hundreds of ground level shoulder rolls as well as emergency bail shoulder rolls where the student would start from a crouch and deliberately trip themselves on a sidewalk curb into a shoulder roll, building up to static start on the ground with one or both feet tripping on a handrail behind the student. This would be muuuch slower and more risk-conscious than training in a gymnastics gym. I didn't learn a kong in a day, or even in a week. And I wouldn't want to let any student just yeet themselves in a day either, b/c the possible consequences would be much more severe than on a mat. So the gym environment is great for faster learning and going through complete movements sooner, letting the student know how it feels all the way through. The training and adaptability mindset reflects the parkour ethos -- find your own way past whatever obstacle you face.
Because she's been doing gymnastics and athletics and martial arts for years and has done things like this before. It's incredible the things this girl has done so far.

Dear Michelle, I will be honest I have not been watching you for that long. But I am so glad I found out about you. You are such an inspiration to all the girls and women out there. I love you. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you finally tried parkour. That was soo cool. One thing that I noticed, this video didn't seem to have the usual structure or structure at all, as it got constantly interrupted by the sponsor. I'm happy for you and your whole team to get such an incredible sponsor! But the video felt more like a 20-minute commercial than a video from you. I wish, that you didn't have to include as many clips of the smartphone, even though this video fits perfectly into this sponsorship. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the Video very much!
The advertising part is far too invasive into the rest of the content. Every time I think I'm watching Michelle learn to do parkour, I'm jolted into a commercial.
It's been happening with a lot of her content lately, specifically since the Black Widow video. It's getting really, really jarring and I've clicked out after the first four minutes.
@@sarahbethh she's running ads for the video and many other youtubers have managed to make a 15 minute video with only two minutes focused on the sponsor. This video is advertising EVERY two minutes.

She also kinda trained like an astronaut lol She’s done a lot of things where people don’t mess around and they still showed her something of what they go through and what they teach their trainees. Maybe not the full extent of what they teach them but they do a “cater to the media” thing so that it brings light to the job in a way.

"What is the dual camera?" "Uuu let me tell you!" Why not just separately showcase it and let the video be, how are big company marketing reps so incompetent...

When Michelle executed that FLAWLESS roll and then gave a terrified look to the camera. Like she surprised herself moving so gracefully right off the bat XD. Watching this video was a joy. She looked like she was psyching herself out a bit, but she really took to this one like a natural.
Congrats on getting the sponsorship! I know some people didn't like how it was incorporated into the video but I think it was okay. I do agree that it could have been toned down a little but I bet it's hard to find a balance with the expectations of the sponsoring company so I can understand. I think people didn't like it because it's hard for sponsorships not to feel fake, but that's the nature of advertising, and probably very hard to overcome. I think you guys did a good job with it with what you had and I know you're always continuing to work to find the best ways to make your content even better!
I wish this could've been a challenge accepted video. There's so much more she could learn. I wish she had time to practice routines over a couple of days to put together a more polished performance at the end, in a real park.

Imagine being her and slaying your way through life and accomplishing anything you could ever want to and documenting all of your successes and getting to travel the world and living the dream life and experiencing so many things that most normal people only accomplish one of. 🙃 And having a rocking strong body and fast learning skills that she has and an incredible personality to match.
These two have such great friend chemistry! There's no awkwardness, and they just seem to genuinely get along as people and not just for a video. I hope it's a friendship that extends outside of just filming!
1:11 his little "ok let's try" was so smol and cute
I can't even tell you how much you have inspired me over the time I have watched you. Thank you!
Them: doing backflips and stunts
Me: falls out of the shower when I lose my balance
lol true me too
The poor editor that had to make these phone shots somewhat watchable
The advertising part is far too invasive into the rest of the content. Every time I think I'm watching Michelle learn to do parkour, I'm jolted into a commercial.
It's been happening with a lot of her content lately, specifically since the Black Widow video. It's getting really, really jarring and I've clicked out after the first four minutes.
yeah it is annoying but this is her job and she needs to get paid
@@sarahbethh she's running ads for the video and many other youtubers have managed to make a 15 minute video with only two minutes focused on the sponsor. This video is advertising EVERY two minutes.
No Love she has to pay for all these experts, videographers, to have access to elite things. Not a lot of you tubers do that, and I suspect it doesn’t come cheap.
@@LivingLifeSaba if it gets so expensive that you make three references to a sponsored phone in four minutes because you otherwise can't afford it, maybe it's time to change careers.
This isn't the first time the entire video was just an advertisement. It's become this bad ever since she was at HBO
I think my favorite thing about watching your videos is going back and seeing how much self confidence and self love you’ve gained🥳
My favorite trick has always been double kongs, as for a moment, you are literally flying through the air, with your legs hanging above your head. It looks and feels so awesome!
I'm being fully serious here, every time I watch one of her videos it makes me want to go take either parkour classes or HEMA classes. And then I decide "maybe I should just go to the gym first so I can do those later" and then never end up doing either. Seriously Michelle, you're such an inspiration to everyone, not just other women.
Nathaniel I would LOVE to see Michelle do a HEMA video!
Okay whats Heme, were i live its a store so i got really confused for a sec
@@ashleysomsen3945 It stands for Historical European Martial Arts. Swordfighting. And for the other two, it's something they've said they won't be doing because she could legitimately get injured even with dull blades and real armour.
Why are you so good at everything. I really want to meet you one day because you are literally so powerfully. QUEEN💪
Because she keeps trying new things
Because SHE IS NOT"Extremely Bored"That's the difference!
I challenge you to train like a NCIS Agent if they let you
I don’t think those people play around
NCIS is my favorite tv show.
Fried Panda
I don’t think they do either but neither does the military and she did the boot camp.
Neither does fire fighters yet she did fire academy.
Neither do police and she did police academy.
She also kinda trained like an astronaut lol
She’s done a lot of things where people don’t mess around and they still showed her something of what they go through and what they teach their trainees. Maybe not the full extent of what they teach them but they do a “cater to the media” thing so that it brings light to the job in a way.
YESSSS!!!!
Which area? L.A or New Orleans or East Coast????
Michelle should write a book when she gets old about all her stories
I can’t believe it took me this long to watch this. Definitely one of the best on your channel. Just so fun and cool, and Jesse seems like such a genuinely nice person. And a great teacher. I’d love to see more of him in the future (and maybe parkour outside?)
Who else wants to be like Michelle when they grow up??
I do!! :)

I love how he is always ready to catch her and then Michelle does exactly what he says and he's like oh she's got it
She freaking killed the line in one try. She’s so talented and amazing that I don’t understand how she ever doubts herself❤️
Mom: hunny, whats your job now?
Michelle: I'm a influencer
Mom: what do you influence?
Michelle: uhhhhh..... *everything?*
Michelle PLEASE do these! Roller derby, cheerleading, diving, surfing, gymnastics, skateboarding, trapeze, horseback riding PLEASE PLEASEEEE I NEED THISS
this content is amazing, you're actually contributing in making youtube a better platform. it feels like watching TV Show
So, what sports do you like?
Michelle: *yes*
You should try something with archery next✨
I absolutly love archeryy!
Yaaas i would love that toooo
"What is the dual camera?"
"Uuu let me tell you!"
I mean, no one minds these videos being commercials, but it starts to get pretty cringy when the company provides a script written by a toddler and forces it unnaturally to highlight features. Why not just separately showcase it and let the video be, how are big company marketing reps so incompetent...
lol
Lol
Exactly. Her videos in s1 was never like this but now it's really showing.
They know ppl will just skip it if they separate it. Trying to pace it with the actual video means more ppl aren’t going to skip it
@@nova317 I mean like this, I want to skip the whole video
I love that Michelle tries EVERYTHING even if she gets scared
This is by far the VERY BEST sponsored video I have ever seen, and it is also the best review of a phone I have ever seen. cool stuff. Sorry I'm 2 years late, I just came across your channel but you're amazing!
*The Fifth Element's "Ruby Rhod" voice* SUPER GREEN!!!
Such a FUN & inspirational vid! I LOVE that this location is in Daygo (not close, but certainly not riverside county territory lol) & the video software features of the new LG tech, Holy SCHEISSE! Mobile companies are truly aware & want to make their products way more capable for photographers & video creators! Straight film production from personal mobile gear, insane!
Was awesome to see Garrett doing his thing, behind the camera! Parkour & Ninja obstacle training are my favorite movement inspirations! Glad you've got some more skills to branch out with! >=]
I'm only 5 minutes in and damn you can already see how much she improved, not physically (I feel like from everything she did, she is a beast already when it comes to fitness), but mentally, bc in older challenges I feel like she didn't believe in herself as much and now she just takes the challenge head on without questioning and thinking she can't do that - thats awesome to see, I feel like she's gonna go even further from now on if her mindset keeps growing the way her abilities do!🔥🔥🔥
I can't watch this without freaking out cause THAT'S MY PARKOUR PLACE! I literally live 5 minutes away! This is awesome! So proud of you Michelle! Keep on rolling!
I hope she got to keep the phone...
Prediction : We will never see this phone ever again...
Me: I cAn Do ThAt ToO
10 minutes later
Doctor: so how’d you end up here again?
Well you see...
It really is incredible watching a dedicated and determined natural athlete succeed at their goal. Wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
You should to be a school teacher something simple but difficult
How does she find these contacts for this
We had this very video planned and I was going to fly to Louisiana (where I grew up) to teach in my elementary school 😭 then COVID happened lol.
Omg you saw my comment that never happens to me from anyone
@@MichelleKhare Hi Michelle, will you consider teaching in the future when the situation improves? ^^
@@MichelleKhare also I know this is totally of topic but where at in Louisiana
Who else wants Michelle to train as a doctor or nurse?
Yeah...that's a different ballpark...heck, its an entirely different game!
Not the correct time. We didn't want her to catch covid for a video
Yeah... and no, i also don't want her to catch covid
prasad sai
If she takes the right precautions that doctors and nurses usually take while in hospitals working with people then she should be just fine. Before doctors and nurses get to work they get tested I think once a week and get their temperatures taken, that’s how it is at my hospital at least.
@@nicoleskorupsky1007 but still a risk. Medical professionals had lots of training, still lot of people who work in hospital are getting infected. Michelle was not a trained professional, so I advice her to stay away from hospital.
Michelle, episode of Challenge Accepted: I trained like a Professional Equestrian! You should do it! I love riding, been doing it most of my life and want to be a professional rider, so seeing you train like one would be like seeing my dream come true, see the way that I could become a professional!
VIDEO IDEA!!
“I became a weather reporter/news anchor for a day”

That lowkey sounds boring (no hate)
@@samantha8111 you say no hate, but that is hate . That’s ok lol, different opinions! 👍😂😄
Michelle 2 seconds before doing the parkour: " Flow state don't know her"
I wish this could've been a challenge accepted video. There's so much more she could learn. I wish she had time to practice routines over a couple of days to put together a more polished performance at the end, in a real park.
This feels like watching a really long ad
I watch storer a lot and they are great but I really was amazed at how Jesse was explaining every base move and getting you to link it all. Good job to the both of you. Oh and that is one sick phone!
Disappointed this was more about the phone than Michelle

Yeaah! That was somewhat over the top!
Well they do have to make their money back since their last (very expensive!) video was canceld because of their sponsor being a big d***.
