Young people take more risks. It's natural. But I'd rather they come in as super subs for first few games. It's a big step up. Archie will be OK I think but Bergvall is coming from Swedish football. I'd expect in the beginning he's going to perform in a best case scenario, like Mudryk. Not good, not bad, moments of brilliance, but it'll be tough. Premier league is intense, which is why championship sides usually get relegated again after a season. There's not much in it, a few % difference in how well-executed everything in the game is, over a season it stacks up.
Other coaches wouldn't have played youngsters - in Socceroos we had 3 good youngsters coming through 15 years ago and Holger Osieck never gave them more than 5 minutes at the end of a game. Ange on the other hand played ALL the Spurs Youngsters ! Ange doesn't like to stop any young guys progress ! Ange left the older stars on the bench !
As a norwegian arsenal fan it pains me to say this, but this guy is going to define a new era for spurs. You spurs fans seemingly dont know what you have here yet but you are looking at the biggest playmaker talent in europe u21 imo. Biggest swedish talent since zlatan for sure. He is going to need a couple of seasons in the prem but this is the guy you will build the team around in the years to come. I dont like anything swedish and i dont like spurs. But i cant deny the truth, just looking at the posture, the balance, the progressive vision, the dynamic movements, the technique.. Oh my fucking god is he good, 18yo! Fucking hell i hate seeing him at spurs. Spurs fans if you dont know yet, but just watch him and dont miss out on enjoying his first seasons because this is a future spurs legend for sure! I get why people say he should start, based on just his playing, he should. but it is clear based on e.g. ange's press conferences that he's not physically at the level to play intensely for 70+ mins, and definitely not every week. no point pushing him to the point of burnout and injuries. let Madders start and he'll come on as a sub often and maybe start some cup games for the first half year at least
