      Ive been thinking it would come done tomorrow since 2012. Im now afraid that in 5 years, it will be the same but just a bigger problem. Systemic change will take a lot longer, and the current system will give its all to make sure it doesnt get destroyed. CBDC will be a big one for that

    What's needed? Liquid cash. Everyone only has credit. If you have stacks of cash, you can capitalize on everyone's credit. A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying.

    Population does not just create competition for jobs, population also creates jobs.

    • @andrewmcfarlane7901
      @andrewmcfarlane7901 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True. This will also depend on the kinds of jobs. I think globalization, technology (including oil and industrialization) and potentially social welfare play the biggest role in distortion in the workforce. If 3rd world countries were behind and america was ahead homogenizing the workforce would only bring it into balance over time. This is going to happen more with white collar workers next in the US. India, and other countries have been educating their population to a point where American companies would be stupid not to hire them remotely at pennies on the dollar

    • @AbhishekKumar7
      @AbhishekKumar7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. Raoul’s philosophy on Baby Boomers is flawed. The problem was debt based unproductive dependence, not population excess.

    • @zeusiphus3377
      @zeusiphus3377 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is true, but only if there is economic growth and demand. The population growth itself may create demand, but only necessarily for essentials. So once you have enough employees providing the essentials, with no economic growth, there won’t be jobs for others.

    • @AbhishekKumar7
      @AbhishekKumar7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

If you bought Bitcoin at $200, wouldn't a price of $1,000 be considered "reasonably" high?

    There was a medical experiment. Researchers put two identical lambs in two separate cages, and a wolf was placed in one of the side cages. The wolf could only be seen by ONE of the lambs and the other was placed out of sight. Months after, the lamb who could see the wolf died out of sheer stress and fear, even though the wolf did not physically go near or even threaten the lamb. The other lamb that had not seen the wolf lived on healthily and in good spirits.This experiment showed the power and effects of mental influence on our health and body. Fear, anxiety, stress and negativity does nothing but harm - even if we don’t realise the damage it is doing to us internally. Filter out negativity!!! As an older person I am concerned about the future. What was a "secure income" ten years ago is no longer secure. I witnessed both of my parents suffer from not having enough for their retirement, especially health care. I am less concerned with health care, I eat clean and primarily vegetarian, but I am concerned about housing. I qualified 15 years ago for low income housing. I worked, attended college, and saved and invested in myself and started to earn money with side gigs along with my regular job. But as soon as my savings grew to $5000, or any investments I made went over that value, I was immediately disqualified and was subjected to pay for $1500 - $2000 apartment rental which wiped out my savings after 3 months. I was right back where I started. So, I think the government needs to provide some of its land holdings for citizens to develop, as in homesteading, and also help provide apartments for people for five years and allow people to save and invest and stop punishing less educated and less advantaged people with such stupid rules...

    1:35:00 about understanding liquidation: when you borrow money to buy anything (real or financial assets) it's called leverage and you have bought something "on margin". Now the lender (bank, mortgage lender, etc) will use the LTV (Loan To Value) to see whether you get a margin call or a liquidation. LTV is your loan divided by the market value. The loan does not change, but the market value does. If you borrowed 600k to buy a 750k house, your starting LTV is 600/750 = 80%. The lender will have certain LTV levels which will trigger a margin call and liquidation. If the house value drops to 700k, now your LTV is 600/700 = 85.7%. Let's say the bank set the margin call LTV at 90% and liquidation at 95%. So if your house value drops to 666K your LTV is 600/666= 90% and your bank will call or send you a letter saying you need to put up more money to bring your LTV down, let's say 50k. Now your loan is 550k and your new LTV will be 550/666= 82.5% so you're safe unless the house price drops further to bring your LTV up again. Now let's say your house value drops further to 578K in a market crash. Now your new LTV suddenly goes to 550/578= 95% and your LTV triggers the liquidation. At this point the bank is very close to losing their own money from your asset, so they well sell it at the 578K price, take their 550k back and give you the remaining 28k. You have just lost your down payment on 750K (150K) and the margin call money (50k) and all the money you've paid into your mortgage for the time leading up to the liquidation. This happens very easily when there's market turmoil and makes billionaires go bankrupt with financial assets too (stocks, bonds, etc). When investors panic sell, bond prices can drop 20-25% easily and that's on top of the stock market drop and housing price drop and interest rate increase. So investors are desperate to sell for cash and there are margin calls and liquidations leaving investors with nothing. I've worked in investment banking for over 10 years and traded bonds and dealt with retail and institutional investors. It's horrific to see people lose millions of dollars because of leverage and I've seen it happen first hand. Luckily I was a trader so didn't have to face clients face to face during the turmoil but I've seen the worst happen in 2008... So yea, try not to use leverage if you can help it.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, these countries are too big to fail therefore we will see some kind of policy (Breton woods style) intervention. What do you think this kind of intervention to “stabilize the economy” looks like this time around? CBDCs?

      Yes. Very much so. Energy policy, deglobalization, followed by CBDCs, UBI, and hopefully not too much crazy nationalism or government takeovers of things like housing etc.
      Definitely some kind of Bretton Woods moment will happen though. What will be most interesting IMO is how well America is doing relative to the rest of the world. Currently it sorta seems like we're still in the driver's seat. At least if or until the BRICS situation improves greatly and catches steam. I still think theres a chance a situation like that could cause productive competition though as long as we stay out of real war.

    Videos like this stir up unnecessary panic, and contribute to economic self-fulfilling prophecies (ie: you scare people into believing there's an imminent recession. They start selling all their stock and hoarding their assets, The market crashes and business's suffer. Bingo, you've got your recession.)

    • @FudgeBabyInTheHouse
      @FudgeBabyInTheHouse 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is not unnecessary panic. The WEF has a goal of having a centrazlied banking system with digital currency. Biden and his administration has printed more money the last two years than the last 100 years COMBINED in the states. This is all by design; it is being done on purpose. It is up to you to take the warnings, and do the necessary research to know what is coming and what you can do to prepare for your family. The only way it stops is by being more aware and spreading word so enough people know how to stand against it. Buy storable foods, have firearms etc. If nothing happens and we see rainbows and butterflies, great! You learned valuable skills and have some stowaway items for the future. If it does happen, youll be thankful and prepared unlike the rest of the NPC's that did not. Those will be the people knocking on your door for help and you can decide what to do then. Cheers

So 95% of Raoul's trades have been wrong and have lost money. Good thing Raoul collects money from his real vision subscriptions because his investments trades have been aweful. The problem wasn't "too many kids". The problem was/is that WOMEN were encouraged to go out into the workforce, instead of taking care of their homes and children. EVERYONE suffered because of this, except for the rich corporations that were behind the suffrage movement to begin with. They profited MASSIVELY by doubling the workforce.

    Don't forget with Options you can buy a call for $1000 and Sell a Put for $800 which means you are betting it will close in a certain range. If it doesn't you only loose $200.
    Most of the time stocks trade in a range so odds are you will get a return.

    I do agree with a lot of things that you said, but you’re completely wrong with the American dream. It has evolved, for sure, but it is alive and well. Look at the list of new American billionaires, for example. Lots of foreign born in guys and ladies. All of them came to America with no money and all of them made it to the top. I personally came to the US and I was 18 years old with $700 in my pocket. Lots of hard work and 30 years later, I am not a billionaire, but I am comfortably in the top 1%. God bless America God bless the American dream!

    Thanks for this great interview. I love your work. I just have something that I'd like you to clarify, as I find hard to believe.
    Your 120 hour work week.
    Here me out on why I'd like some clarification.
    There are 168 hours in a week, this leaves you with 48 hours (6.857 hours a day) to do everything else.
    Okay, let's say you eat while working. Unhealthy, but do-able. What about working out, or time with your family? Do you consider this to be a part of your working hours? I guess if you work from home and you are around them all day that is do-able. But if so, this is really unhealthy, as your family will start to resent you not devoting time to them. You talk about meditation. This also takes time.
    So then there's sleep, is this the answer? Do you just not sleep, or get very little? There are rare casses of people who can function for very long periods of time on very little sleep.
    If it all comes down to that, respect.
    But as someone who fights with an autoimmune disease (in remission though), sleep is a core part of me being healthy, so as you can see, this is all very hard to wrap my head around that statement. Please do explain.

      I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he knows something I don't. I am willing to listen, and learn.
      In our culture of canceling, or at least judging too quickly, I thought I'd ask the channel to answer, or come up with a new video idea... "How I spend the hours of my day".
      But to say that I am skeptical is understating it.
