Showing that chimney the middlefinger at 12:34 was hilarious :D great climb mate! And props about the gear placement! Everything was on point. Climbing a route trad at that grade seems like a scary idea to me, but you managed it pretty good even though you were breathing really hard 😂
Brilliant video. That chimney looked so awkward and difficult to climb, especially at the start! Well done on getting through it! I'm looking forward to getting to the stage where I unrack the correct size of gear every time, like you did.
@@FlatOutFE it's on the short list. We went there on our last trip at 6 AM the base of the climb had 5 parties in front of us so we peaced it and did Frogland and then hopped over to Calico and did The Fox.
@@summitseekersexperience, yeah I'm not super excited about being in a line to climb. It's on my list as well but can do without a crowd. Lots of stuff to climb. It hasn't been above freezing in my neck of the woods for 10 days. Looking forward to 70s and sunshine.
on mountain project this pitch is rated 5.8+ but in my opinion it's definitely 5.9. Later pitches on this climb were rated 5.9 on MP but I thought they were significantly easier than this one.
@@summitseekersexperience I thought this pitch was definitly the scariest. The bolt on pitch 4 was harder for me, but way less scary and commiting than the chiminey.
The long look up at the chimney at 10:00 like ".....is this really where i have to go?" is amazing

Man, if I could pull out the right cam each time that would be great.
...neat to see you work that second tough part along the chimney...
Thanks... it was an adventure!
Nice. Heading to Red Rocks for a week of climbing next week. Can't wait. Looks like a fun route.
Nice, I love that place. I’ve done a ton of climbing out there so let me know if you need any suggestions
@@summitseekersexperience, I've done a annual pilgrimage out there in March for a few years. Such a fun place to climb. Have you done Epinephrine?

@@FlatOutFE nice, yeah, this last time we went the weather was perfect and a nice refresher from the cold weather. Have Fun!!!
My hands are literally sweating watching you get through that chimney.
same!!!
Any suggestion on some easy trad multi-pitch for a beginner(5.4-5.6) that don't have long approaches/walk-offs?

What's the rating?
