    A story that really hits me, in addition to the children, was of a woman. She was in the mall, in the basement level, at a bakery. She went to pay, and realized her cards were missing. She freaked out, thinking they had been stolen. She ran out of the mall, and looked in her wallet. The cards were all there. Then the mall collapsed.

    To the first question: Kids don’t always just say anything. You’re able to differentiate a story versus a real life event that happened to you. While kids say imaginations, they don’t just sprout up from nowhere. I would totally be walking away if my kid told me we need to leave in a worried voice because there’s no reason my kid would be telling us to leave unless something was happening. If they were smiling and telling me to leave or trying to be sneaky sounding definitely i’d be thinking otherwise. If my kid is seeing things we’re definitely getting tf out because spirits are real. The younger you are the more bad spirits prey on you.. once again we’re definitely getting out because there’s no reason my kid should be telling me to leave with that with a worried tone.

    • @jinn8339
      @jinn8339 ปีที่แล้ว +83

      Yes exactly, its usually influenced by something that happened in their real life. People need to stop thinking kids are just dumb, if my kid was that urgent I would've left in a heartbeat.

      You sound kinda crazy at the end there but the first half I agree with. The second half, if my kid told me it sees a "ghost" I'd also be getting tf out too, not bc I believe see-through ppl are real but bc we need a therapist asap. Or a medical doctor.

    • @Slimeranchchampion
      @Slimeranchchampion ปีที่แล้ว +40

      @@Abii140I think making your child believe there’s something wrong with them for using their intuition/ imagination is arguably worse. Kids have amazing imaginations and it would be a shame to make them believe their imaginary friends or things they “see” aren’t normal, and they should hide it from you. Kids see shit, wether you want to believe it’s ghosts or an active imagination is up to you

    Just quickly as a Psych student, yes you are right about malls with cold temps for two reasons, 1: you see it as a place specifically during hot seasons to go to as a place for cool temps, and 2: you won't register it but your body will naturally want to move more when you are cold to keep internally warm and hence seeing more of the mall (while also wanting stay there during warm days.) Hope this was a fun fact for anyone reading :)

It's so upsetting cuz how much more they could have made if they just built it to the best of their abilities, they'd still be making 400k a day in a mall that is still standing. I'm so bitter when I hear these stories. And stuff like this happens in America as well, it happens everywhere that greed runs rampant. I really get so angry. How many people were helped so much in the pandemic with only a little under $2k, greedy people are rich out of their mind, they could give away 2k to people every year and still live in luxury but they won't. They actively lobby our politicians to screw over the people so they can make a few more bucks. I hate it.

      Should of thought of that before they supported terrorists that have blatantly said they want to 'finish Hitler's job'. Whether you like it or not, history books will tell you that Jews have as much claim on the land as Palestinians. Perhaps even more so since they precede the Palestinians by a few mentions. Even documents and testimonies of the Roman Empire acknowledge the Kingdom of Judea but not Palestine. Palestine became a thing during the time of the Ottoman Empire which came afterwards.
      Maybe if Palestinians didn't support terrorists who again, want to kill off the Jews, maybe people would take their plight a bit more serious. You don't get to attack towns and murder thousands of women and children. Displaying their naked, mutilated bodies in a sick parade with men cheering and saying 'they want more'. Then cry victim when the IDF comes in wanting revenge and justice. Have they gotten careless regarding Palestinian civilians? Yeah they have but they ultimately started this. Every time Israel has these massive responses against Gaza, it's never unprovoked. It's always after Hamas pulls off a terrorist attack that kills innocent Israelis.

    I think the idea of the mall was good. Having a one stop shop is amazing and I don't see why anyone would be against having one. The thing that makes it bad in this case, was the fact that it wasn't made properly. Had this person been more focused on making it safe instead of trying to cut costs, everyone would love it. This guy deserves everything bad that comes to him. Also that part about rich people needing to spend their money to help other people, everyone should be able to spend their money the way that they want to. The world shouldnt be relying on rich people to help them but the government should be doing it. Instead of the government spending money on useless things that dont help anyone, they should think about the people in their country and better ways to help them.

This tragedy is one of the cases that's stood out to me because of how such a mundane environment like a mall could end up crushing, trapping, and cause so many senseless PREVENTABLE deaths 😭😭😭 It's a different kind of terror and horror with the cases about an insane amount of people losing their lives all because the freaking structure and foundation of the building, or even the boat / ferry they're in, isn't remotely safe. what I don’t understand is how he thought having an unsafe building, that could collapse any second would make him more money/ save him more money, then if he spent a couple thousand more to make it safe so it wouldn’t collapse. If it collapsed he’d lose crazy amounts of money 💀 he he made it safe he could of had it for years and years and made 100x time more money then he made

    I always believe kids, my family is very religious and we fully believe in those gifts, and in so many occasions my siblings and I, mostly me, were able to do things that are unexplainable, like, there was this time where I saw "someone" besides my mom's car trunk, left side to be more specific, and after that I started to get so anxious about her going to work that night, I managed to tell her to be careful with the trunk door, a few hours after she went to work, she called home and asked if someone could go and get her because the trunk door fell on her head and gave her a concussion and 10 stitches, what happened was, the hydraulic suspension that kept the door open, the left one, broke. Thankfully, she heard me, she usually don't pay attention to that door, but she had her hand ready to catch the door, if she hadn't her hand like that, the door could had hit the back of her neck. She fixed that thing and, seven years later, it never happened again, she still have that car, but she is very careful with that door, she doesn't use the trunk if she is alone and when she's with someone, she ask them to hold the door for her.
    Sorry for those who think this story is lame, but is because the others I have are much more personal and I don't think my family would want this on the internet.

    Just started the video and I wanted to answer the questions real quick. I watched the mall one a while back and was also sort of confused at the beginning hearing about only the kids seeing the bloody people. I personally do believe in spirits and it's said that with kids the younger they are the more naturally tuned in they'll be to the spirit world and to things that adults don't believe in. This is because children still have their innocence and unwavering belief whereas adults become skeptical about the unknown as they get older. Kids oftentimes won't really question what they're seeing so that's why I think it was mostly kids that had seen those people because I'm guessing they'd already passed away. This is also why I think many adults believe their kids just have a vivid imagination when they're told about "imaginary friends." I think a lot of the time those friends may be spirits that they're interacting with. Also not all spirits are bad or negative. They can range from neutral, good, or malicious and a lot of them don't even realize that they've passed away which is quite sad. So if I ever heard a kid tell me we need to leave and it's because they're describing and trying to warn me about something horrific that I'm not able to see I would definitely get out!

    24:50 I think civilians would for sure still try to help, as the civilians tried to help with the ferry incident too but were stopped by the government.
    I’m iffy on the government because in the other incident that we looked out where the government were really slow, it was because the government were involved in the incident happening in the first place, so not helping was either to cover their own backs or not acknowledge their part in the problem. Like I think I remember that the gov had some stake in the ferry overloading, and for the incident where everyone was stuck in an alley during Halloween, all the policemen and other forces that should have been there were at like the presidents house cuz the prez chose to stay at home. Maybe since they didn’t have a part in this they might have still helped.

    I've hallucinated once before when i had a fever. I was in so much pain, i felt my whole body was burning and i couldn't tell what was real or not.
    I was disoriented, i thought i was in ancient china with a fire demon in me and i was getting exorcised. My inner thoughts even had me thinking in old mannerisms. Like a poet.
    It was not fun.
    I think hallucinations is less for to lessen the pain. And more that the body lacks the means to understand what is happening. Lack of oxygen or water deprives your body of their basic needs, especially the brain.
    I can't imagine what it was like trapped in there hallucinating. Scared, confused, and not being fully aware of your own upcoming demise.
    There were probably people hallucinating, too far gone to register rescuers nearby, too far gone to hear them or even think they were real that you don't answer to not waste energy and oxygen.
    Hallucinating is like a nightmare you can't get out of. Because even if you're a bit lucid, you can't do anything. If you try to move, you may think you are, or even see you are but in reality you haven't moved an inch.
    Fucking terrifying

    FINALLY SOMEONE SIMILAR TO ME!!!
    I don’t know exactly what caused this fear but it was either finale destination or this video my uncle showed me of a women who caught stuck in one and died.
    People give me so much shit for my fear, I refuse to even go inside smalls because I don’t ever want to use one, I worked in a giant office building and for some reason they had escalators, elevators and the stairs and one day the elevator broke and all my coworkers who were coming in to ended up finding out my fear because my friend almost missed himself laughing that my fear was so bad I rather walk up 4 flights of stairs then use the escalator. People started asking me about it even people I didn’t know because it was a hilarious story that spread more quickly than any other office gossip.
    It’s been about 6 years since I used one and I’ve tried to but I chicken out and it makes me shake like a fucking chihuahua and I use both hands on one rail while in a sorta bent over position with my eyes closed tightly and o admit it’s so ridiculous looking it’s hilarious to even me. When my sister recorded me I saw how stupid and crazy I looked.

    38:57 each state has different construction requirements due to their location and weather. In California, brick houses aren’t allowed to be built anymore because of frequent earthquakes. The houses are built that can somehow withstand earthquakes. Yes, it’s more flammable, but it’s easier to get out of the house when fire starts, than brick houses falling from earthquakes. We don’t have a lot of rain and storms aren’t very rare. The reason why brick houses aren’t done in the tornado alley (states with a lot of tornadoes), is due to heavier debris when tornadoes know them down. Sorry, off topic from the video. 😅

    I shouldn't laugh but Seb going "it's too much" at a 4-5 story high mall makes me giggle cause I live by one in this small ass city... And this bitch is 7 stories high with 3 other basement levels opened to the public and two parking levels lower. So we talking 7 up and 5 down.
    Basically, the mall right next to me is the size this one originally had to be without adding the 5th floor was but with normal height ceilings. This bad boy has being up since the 80s and never had a incident. Is a sturdy little monster of a building.
    What I'm trying to say is that I'm laughing but I shouldn't because this shows how a good job looks like when the same type of building exist somewhere else, build right without cutting expenses, and is still up.

  • @silverdandylmao
    @silverdandylmao 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    You talk a lot about "why tf is all this shit in one place, just build another mall". That's kind of the "appeal" for malls in asia, especially since cities are crowded, SO it becomes the urban equivalent of going to the park with the kids. That's why they have to be spaceous, aesthetic, and NOT just utilitarian. This ain't some small town in the USA, the space is super limited in the city.
    "No ones gonna spend that much time in a mall"
    Think of how much you can get done in 7-10 hrs, and how convenient it is to get ALL errands done in just ONE trip. Less walking, less driving, and you don't have to deal with the weather outside. You don't even need to leave the building for food! Each family member can go do their own thing and meet up for dinner and movies. Errands AND leisure, all in one place. It just makes sense!

    To your comment about the mall having too much shops and just overkill... The overall layout of the mall is typical to Asian malls. We're all about efficiency and finding everything we need in one place. If the mall lacks what we need or does not have the things we want to see, then we're not gonna visit it no matter how close it is to where we live, go to work or school. Typically, malls in Asia, especially in the Philippines, have all the shops you can think of-attractions (kids' play space, a mini theme park, some even have a wholeass Kart track), shops, cinemas, bookstores, appliance centres, restaurants, parlor, etc. So, no. That was not too much. Malls are basically an attraction in Asia. And, yes, many customers basically spend most of their days inside a mall, especially on the weekends. However, most mall owners are not as idiotic, although as money loving, as the owner Sampoong.

    As for the question about kids, I feel like they see things (such as ghosts) because their soul(?) is new to the human realm, more sensitive which is why they can see things that adults cant. Plus kids don usually make up such stories without a reason, and faking being terrified at such a young age is hard too so why wouldn't I believe them.
    I dont really believe it but its fun to theorise since it seems to be a worldwide occurrence.
