When I first picked Blitz/Fuze with shield all those years ago, this was how I expected them to play. You can imagine my disappointment when they couldn't even reload without dropping the shield. But hey, at least now they got it right.
You don't hold the shield with a handgrip, it's _at least_ held at the elbow by the forearm, since you're bracing the surface with your forearm across. The hand itself isn't holding the shield up.

He definitely doesn't get the love he deserves but I still think he is a little too weak. It helped when they made his gun actually usable with it having less recoil now but the problem is that his gadget is basically just a glorified smoke grenade. Plenty of ops have smokes while providing other utility and although his gadget can provide more visibility coverage it doesn't do much past just that. Only thing I can think of to make it better would have it do a little damage to players if they run through or possibly destroy certain gadgets that are thrown through it. They would have to be careful with this though bc it could easily make him "too strong". I find that Hibana is in a similar situation currently. She is not as good for walls like thermite, ace, or even maverick with his "soft wall" ability. And why use her for hatches when a lot of strong ops have hard breach chargers and provide additional utility on top of opening hatches. The only thing that helps her is that her gun load out is fairly strong.
Question: With the new shield changes, is there any reason to play Blitz? If the knockdown and melee are so good, why bother with the neer to flash them as the sprint closes the gap regardless.
Love when the team actually does a strategic play to win and it's not up to one person. But I'm curious what you think of the shields now Macie? The melee damage seems like too much

Macie, what do you think about giving Thermite a ballistic shield? It'd give him more survivability to actually be able to use his gadget before getting domed and it synergises well with his gadget too. He's 2-armour so would be more vulnrable to death by limb-shots which kind of balances him out. Thermite players tend not the be top-fraggers either and usually veer towards being the bomb defuser so the sheild on his back would help with planting too. It also allows for a full anti-aimbotter comp with OsaMontyBlitzFuzeThermite (5 shields😂)
Down for the shield rework so far, but i do feel like the dmg prolly needs to be removed or turned down. like ur already getting what is an orxy bash to knock down, idk if the additional dmg is really needed

As awesome as the shield changes are, and as cool as the shield clips were, those ending Sens clips were the chefs kiss. Tactical siege and awesome coordination, just *mwah* that’s the R6 I bought into back in 2015.
For the thermite plant, it would be better to give diffuser to a shield/monty and for them to plant then stay in the corner, better chance of survival than what happened after planting to that thermite. and or get another opp to cover the thermite
An idea to try with Sense in a scenario like the one with Thermite almost dying to Mira. Throwing two pucks instead as a double wall where Mira has to come through the first wall and expose herself to you, but her view to Thermite still being blocked. Basically a sandwich-bait. Would’ve minimised the risk of him dying there, luckily he didn’t though. But if you have two pucks and a straight shot might as well

I have stopped playing the game a while ago and I still think of the good times I had with it. Sadly it just wasn’t fun at the end anymore because I was burned out and fed up with so many aspects of it but there just isn’t any game that can replace it. Seeing some of the recent changes I could see myself trying it again but I’m really hesitant because I didn’t keep up with all the changes they’ve made since last year season two. Feels almost like a different game now with all the balancing changes and some of the new ops.
