Some footage of ICG/GM&O mixed freight at Prairie Scale Model Railroad Club in Lombard, Illinois. The layout is still a work in progress, but the finished sections are very nice.
I.C.G., Illinois Central Gulf was my favorite railroad. When I was a kid, it was the railroad closest to my house in Chicago where I used to admire the freight trains, the commuter trains and Amtrak as they passed through. I know that they dropped the "Gulf" in '88, and the railroad was eventually taken over by Canadian National. Long live the memories of the I.C.G.!
