It detects only a hand movement or it detects any object ?? Also, if i put only 5V in output it would still working ?? Or necessarely needs an input between 5-24V ??? Sorry im new in electricity hahaha

Multi-mode just means that depending on which solder tabs you bridge, you can have things light three levels of brightness if you sweep your hand three times, direct on and off (no dimming) and the default setting as per the video is fade in, fade out. There's a table of the settings in the Aliexpress listing in the video description. Hope this answers your question.
